"And as we wrap up the segment for tonight's show, we're going to close out on the hottest couple and their wedding details. Yes, folks, Hollywood's Golden couple, Theresa and Howie are finally tying the knot. To make it as private as possible, they booked a private cruise line for their guests. The next time these two hit up any music award shows, they will be a happily married couple as it's said their marriage is just one month away. We wish them the best of luck. I'm Cassie Banks and this is Hollywood Entertainment news." I groaned as I flicked off the TV and leaned back against the couch, right into the resting arm of Howie.
"Why?" I mumbled and he laughed, his hand rubbing my arm.
"I have no clue how you and I became the Golden Couple of Hollywood, but we did, and it seems every step we make is the hottest of news. You really didn't think our marriage was going to be silent did you?" I lifted my head to give him a mock glare. I was hoping that it would, but I knew better than that. Howie was right, it seemed like we became the hottest sensation overnight. And the funniest part to me was that we were really nobodies in the grand scheme of Hollywood. We worked in the music industry, nothing big. We won a few awards, okay Howie did, big deal. It wasn't like we were on the big silver screen or anything. And yet, we were the couple to beat it in Hollywood. Not that it hurt us, we just turned our backs to it, but still, it was mind-blowing.
"This leaves room for people to bug us, Howie." Howie sighed but kissed my head nonetheless. He knew exactly who I was referring to. Sure, Mike had stopped calling and texting, maybe that was in part to me actually blocking his number, but still, the point was that if he knew about this he would try all the harder. And believe me, I was far away from wanting anything with that man, but still irked me like all kinds that he wouldn't get the hint and leave me the fuck alone. He even tried one day when I was coming back to the office from lunch with Howie and Howie was ready to kick his ass. And as much as I love my baby, he was a little on the shorter side, and try as he might to defend my honor, I don't think he would have much damage to Mike.
"You have to ignore it, babe, you really do. Mike hasn't come around in a bit." I turned to look at him and he sighed again. "Okay, you aren't the only one with ex problems. Yes, she's tried reaching out but you know I just ignore her."
"It's not you I'm worried about Howie, at all. I trust you, I trust our love. However, I don't trust her, or him, from doing something insanely stupid." He pulled me closer but chuckled and I knew he agreed with me. Those two fools were that, fools, and it wouldn't be a surprise if something came out in some tabloid soon enough.

I rubbed my tired eyes as I turned around to look at the empty and dark office. It was well past quitting time, but for me, I had a lot of work to do so I was stuck here. Not that I minded exactly. Howie was busy pretty much all weekend with someone for some song which left me alone. And I figured this would have been a good time for me to get where I was slacking off at. I frowned as the front door opened and I heard the chime, wondering why it was even unlocked. If everyone was gone, that door should have been locked by security.
I grabbed my phone and left my office to go see what was going on. Not that anyone ever walked into my building when it was dark, but there was a first time for everything too. I flipped the lights on, my jaw-dropping at the sight of the man who was looking around. No, just no, I didn't have the energy to deal with him right now.
"What the fuck do you want, Mike?" I asked as I stuffed my phone in my back pocket and crossed my arms. He turned at the sound of the voice and a smile broke out over his lips. At one point, I would have loved to have seen that, now it just pissed me off.
"I wanted to talk to you when there was no one else around." He walked over to me and I shook my head, backing up.
"You need to get out; there is nothing here for you anymore." He stopped right before me, his smile turning into a smirk and I swallowed hard. Was this man ever going to understand that no meant fucking no and I was over him, over his shit? He had bugged me and pushed me when I decided I was done with his lame ass, and he's rather lucky I hadn't called the cops for harassment yet. Again, there was a first time for everything.
"I heard you're getting married, you know that doesn't mean anything, right? You can still do things; we can both do things." I narrowed my eyes as he backed me up to the wall. What was it going to take to get it through his thick skull that this was done and over, that I wasn't going to cheat, EVER. He could be the asshole, but I wasn't. I loved my future husband and he was the only man I ever wanted, he pleased me in ways I didn't even know I needed till him.
"FUCK.OFF. Mike. Why don't you get it? We're done. You fucked us over, had your chance, and blew it. I have found the love of my life, the man I want to spend every moment with. I don't need another dick when his is quite large and fills me way better than yours ever could. You pale in comparison to him! His skills will always outmatch yours! So, tell me, why the fuck would I want a second best when I have the first best?" His eyes darkened and I saw the switch kick on. "If you don't leave, Mike, I will call the cops, file a charge, and then I will go to your wife, with all the messages and the pictures you have sent me and I will make sure your life is fucked 100 degrees over. Is that what you want?"
"You're making a big mistake. I walk away and I won't come back." Mike took a few steps back and it was enough room for me to cross my arms and glare at him.
"Finally," I muttered. He shook his head and smirked.
"You'll ask me back, Theresa, don't doubt it." With that, he left and I rolled my eyes, praying that he was done because I sure as hell wouldn't ask him back. Maybe he realized that no really meant no.

Howie clenched his teeth together as he pushed his phone into his pant pocket. He didn't want to hear about the shit that Mike was pulling. Not that Theresa shouldn't have called; he was just tired of the man. Not like his ex was any better. Howie gathered up his paperwork, and locked it in the filing cabinet, thinking it was time to go spend some quality time with his fiancé. He was dying to show her the house he was having built for them as a wedding gift. Okay, maybe it was well beyond a wedding gift as it started shortly after they started dating.
Howie locked up the building as he left and made his way out to the car, groaning just a bit at the blonde hair bimbo leaning against his door. When he asked for the wedding, he was really hoping it would remain a secret so that these people wouldn't bother them, to leave the drama in the past. However that just didn't seem to happen, and once the word 'wedding' came into the picture, it seemed like these two for sure came out of the woodwork.
"She's going to leave you once she's got everything she needs. Any female, by nature, are users." Howie rolled his eyes at that. No, not every female was and it took a bit for Howie to see that his fiancé wasn't like that and never would be. She paid for dates, vacations, hotels, fuck she was even putting in money on this wedding. So no, she didn't use him, although she used his body quite nicely as he used hers but that was mutually agreed.
"Not every woman is a bitch, that's just you. Now please back the fuck away from my car.
"What are you going to do when you realize she has everything and you are left with nothing? When it happens, don't come back to me Howie, I'm done. I won't be here anymore." She walked up to his side and ran a pink nail over his arm but he stepped back.
"When are you going to get I'm done with you, Liz?" Her eyes blazed with anger and he shook his head, finally able to get into his car but she grabbed the door.
"There will be a time when she does take you for everything, just wait. And you'll wish that I was around to pick up the pieces." He grabbed the handle and started to close the door. He and Resa, plus their two lawyers, were the only ones who about the prenuptial agreement, and that was her doing. She wanted to show him this was about love and nothing more. "Fuck you, Howie, I won't keep throwing myself at you to show you how wrong you are!" He started the car and just shook his head before backing it. Was that all it would take to get rid of these two? Or was there more drama to come? He really didn't want more drama at his wedding; he wanted it dropped at the door of the boat.
