"Wow, holy shit. Is that her?"
Ella leaned forward from the back of the seat to stare at my phone. I could feel her breath on my ear, and my entire body shivered.
"Holy shit, it really is her!"
"Move away. I can feel your breath next to my ear."
It gave me chills.
Fucking chills.
"Ah, don't worry about that. Are you not going to answer?"
"Eh... Later. Now's not really a good time."
"Oh, please. Just answer."
"Fine."
Since she was probably going to pester me for the entire car ride, I took the call. The screen changed, and Sarah's face appeared. Immediately, I heard a soft 'Woooow' and 'holy fuck...!' coming from my sister.
—Manager?
"Yes."
—...Is there someone with you?
Astonished by the sudden question, I blinked twice. How did she know?
—Ah? He's with someone? That's impossible. Isn't he supposed to be friendless?
