The sun was high up in the sky by now and the two figures kept on their journey. They were convinced that they would soon be out of the wide forest. After having a wash and some quick bites, they didn't look as tired as before and even 'The Man' seemed better as his wound had at least gotten first aid treatment.
Eventually, they got to a large clearing in the forest; a perfect space for any combat that might break out anytime.
The low shrubs of grass there glided gently and the area was awfully quiet.
The trained warrior he is, Su's ears are immediately perked and his hands tight on his weapon, watching out for any ambush.
He wasn't disappointed; their predators rushed towards them in fierce formation. It was clear that they had patiently waited for them on that route because it was about the only way to get out of the jungle and back into Town.
Su immediately gets ready for battle and takes a fighting pose then looks back to see his accomplice finding himself a munition.
"Stay behind me, you are in no position to fight"
In no time, a fierce battle commenced and after the sixth man of them had been taken down by Su, the rest of the group start to count their step backwards to take a breather and find the easy place to checkpoint this fighter.
Su was also tired on his part and used this little time to gather strength back and check on 'The Man' behind him.
He then points his sword at the leader of the gang at a distance with a smirk on his face "i see you will not back down until you have been wiped out..."
"pffttt! Not too bad for a wimpy thing. Hear me out, risking your life for a man that has already been sentenced to death is not worth it"
"shut your trap!. Let us go if you want to live"
"hahahaha, you fight really good i must admit. But you have wasted lots of my men; that alone is a death warrant for you.
However, i am merciful and will not only let you live if you surrender, i will give you a chance to become one of my men. Well, what do you say? that is a pretty fair deal if you ask me" he felt quite confident and benevolent at this moment
"shut your trap!... you do not make the decisions here"
