This time around, their mission would be to attack Mt. Chi and ambush Master Lu of the Lu Academy. This was no child's play. They had recently invaded Mt. Chi and lost some of their men to Dragon Fist and his brutal warriors. Though they had taken down some of the enemy's men, they had still been the group to suffer the most casualties without getting the results intended. Therefore, the mission had been considered a failure. Now they had to lose some more in the upcoming battle. The men feared for their lives, albeit, nothing could be done; they had to carry out the mission.
Everyone around knew of the Dead Owls. They mainly operated in the dead night hence their name. They were a strong bandit group to reckon with but they had various rivals also.

"Master, you called for us..."
Lu Kang and Su performed the ritual of removing their shoes and bowing their heads to Master Lu before sitting in front of him.
"Yes i did... in few days, you two will accompany me to Mt. Chi to visit Dragon Fist. Recently, they have been frequent disturbances. I will need to make a trip there... tell me, has any of you been to Mt. Chi?"
"No, my Lord"
"No, father"
"Mt. Chi is not a place for the weak. Which is why I have called you two to prepare. The enemy will know we are coming, and they will be waiting for us..."
"Yes Master"
"Now go about your daily routines, but keep in mind we will leave in few days... the journey to Mt. Chi covers 2 days from here"
"Yes Master"
After the boys leave, Master Lu turns to Yeong "Yeong, you will need to prepare for the journey. It's been three years I last visited Mt. Chi. Did Dragon Fist receive news about my visit yet?"
"Yes master, I sent him a letter in your name to notify him..."
"very well then, the Dead Owls must've received this information too. Come, let us visit the training grounds. You will need to handpick some good ones for the journey"...

Drillmaster Gang had to address the trainees. They stood formatted in a straight line, each of them attentively focused on the drillmaster.
"tommorrow, we will have a little contest amongst all of you, the first three winners will be selected to join Master Lu on a journey. Is that understood?"
"Yes Drillmaster"
"Now you all go to prepare for the contest tommorrow, that is all"
The trainees disperse with murmurs to each other, all discussing what the upcoming contest would be like.
