We're at the Great Hall then, our guests trickling in slowly. Some of the pack attends, like Lip and Cersei, but the rest of the pack has said their goodbyes and taken their leave.

  The pack won't be whole again until the middle of the first month of the new year. It's bittersweet, but though the pack is family, each member has a family of their own.

   Xolo is the last to leave, hugging me so tight that I almost saw stars.

   "I promise to bring you a gift from my home!" he exclaims, and then waves as he departs.

   My Quill looks after all of them as they leave, a wistful look on his face.

   "How do you feel?" I ask, hugging his side.

   "It never gets easier to have the pack separate. It feels strange, like a body part that was once there but no longer." Quill explains, kissing the top of my head.
