"I guess I should welcome you. Or at least take your reins so you won't have the urge to drown me." I said to myself, as I approached the extra kelpie carefully. I took hold of my bracelet with my thumb and forefinger, causing the one I could control to shift closer to us.
I knew it didn't like that I still had hold of its reins; how the anger bubbled in it's eyes as it tried to protect me instead of destroying me like its nature intended.
"Come on Sea, it's going to be okay." I told my kelpie. It rolled its eyes at me but complied.
As I stepped forward to the wild kelpie who was strangely unmoving, I touch the top of the head-and then felt my hand sink into the side of its neck. The kelpie acted accordingly, dashing off as it ran into the waters, each step sinking lower and lower into the river.
My brain was racing with thoughts and plans, as the water began to reach past my shoulders.
I knew what I had to do then.
