Strangely, the ride back home wasn't as bad as I remembered it to be.
I landed on my feet as we made it to the front of the estate, laughing as Quill skidded to a stop, and turned into his human form. His body landed in a bush of roses, and I rushed over to ensure he was okay.
Aside from some leaves tangled in his wild curls, he was fine.
"You really need to work on your landing." I told him, and he smiled.
"Why? I know you'll be there to catch me." he replied, as I tried to brush the leaves out of his hair.
I rolled my eyes, but we stopped when the twins approached us, looking serious.
"Alpha, we've got word from the king. He wants us to depart to his territory sooner rather than later. The dragon has done more damage since the Crescent Knights have tried to slay it." Eryx reported, Elexander's eyes on me.
