Chapter 63 - The hidden funeral

When I awoke, it was to the sound of people arguing.

  Quill was already out of bed, and I slipped out, placing a robe over myself, and tying my hair in a bun.

  A group of men were standing in front of my father's study, and they were arguing with him. Quill is talking with someone, and they're all standing too close, as if waiting to see if any of them will strike out first.

  I don't want to stand by, especially when one goes up to my father's face and screams into him.

  And that's when I move, running up to the strange man, and flashing my fire magick at him.

  "I will burn your face off it you try that again." I threatened, my father placing a hand on my shoulder.

  I don't relax, body tensed in case the man tries to strike at me, but then I feel someone behind me, and I know it's Quill.

  The man balks, and walks off, hiding himself deeper into the crowd.
