When he received the phone call about Mei's accident, Ren was hopeless yet again, a few years ago his parents died, then his sister died. And now, the person who was his last beam of light, is dead as well. Devastated and alone, Ren contemplates his life and the choices he has made.
Ren: "Did I, really deserve this?" He said "I mean, all my life I've been living a life of a good citizen".
Ren couldn't react anymore, he was too used to death. 'What kind of sin did he even do for him to have such a unlucky life'? He thought to himself.
Ren just wanted to live a happy life, that was all, and then he thought, 'what if I was stronger'?
Ren: "Would that have done anything anyways"?
He mumbled, walking past by was the sound of sirens. 'I bet Mei is inside' he thought, he was rather close to the accident area... where, Mei lost her life.
.
.
When he arrived home, he went straight to bed, crying, thinking about his memories, first with his parents, then with his younger sister, then, with Mei.
He cried and cried until he fell asleep.
.
.
When he woke up, he wasn't at his apartment at all!
He immediately got up and searched the room searching for answers, when he found that there were no answers in the room.
He went out and ran around, he saw that he was in a mansion, moreover, as he was walking, he saw a family portrait. What he saw was the most shocking thing since he woke up, he saw a painting of 6, and they all had white hair, except 1, there stood a boy with a handsome appearance and black hair ,and the most shocking thing?
Ren knew he was the one that had the black hair, he saw his self when searching for clues earlier anyways and he took a quick glance on the mirror, though he only glanced at it earlier, he quickly ran back to the room where he originally was lying and looked through the mirror. There, he saw the same boy who he saw through the portrait.
Suddenly, he got a heavy headache, memories that weren't his started to flow into his head.
After a minute or so, he could finally be able to walk again.
His name was Cairo Castillor, the youngest Son of the Duke of the Westersha Empire.

It's been a month since Cairo (Ren), have been transmigrated, yes, he was transmigrated into his own novel too! Though he did make it, the plot has been changed into the edited version of the Editor, how he got here still remains a mystery though.
Cairo has been training his body daily, in his past life it had become a part of his habit to deal with depression. (Obviously it was Mei's suggestion lol).

Now the thing is, Cairo learnt that he was cursed since birth, apparently, before his father, the Duke of the Westersha Empire, kill the wicked witch of the South, his child was cursed and it was said that she cursed him with the 'Fate of Misfortune', thus, he was sent to their southern mansion as soon as he was born and barely spent time with his family. Fortunately or unfortunately, the cursed worked backwards, it turns out that in his past life he was cursed to lose all the people he loved, and when he has finally given up and lost all hope, he too, would then die.
'Wow I think I have pretty high stats' He thought
Curses in this world are a 2 sided blade, on one hand it has the ability of making ones life worse, but on the other hand, it also made it so that those who are able to survive it gets way stronger by giving the cursed ones random skills. As for example, he got 'Rapid Growth'.
"Huh? Destined partner? what is that? I never remember writing that before?"
Indeed, it was strange, however when he saw he had 3 more curses, he knew it was strange.
Now Cairo was turning 16 this year, meaning the curse would finally go away. And he too would go to the academy where the whole plot would take place. As Cairo thought and thinked what he should do, he remembered the 1 person he loved and supported as soon as he made her, the Hero, or was supposed to be, until she was turned into the Villainess Princess.

Cairo couldn't help but think about Mei again, even though he was in a completely different world now. Her death still weighed heavily on his heart, and he wondered if there was anything he could have done to prevent it.
But then he remembered the curse, and he realized that no matter what he did, he couldn't have changed the outcome. It was all predetermined by fate, or at least that's what he had been led to believe.
Cairo decided that he wouldn't let the curse define his life any longer. He was determined to break free from its grip and live a life of his own choosing.
He spent the next few weeks training hard, both physically and mentally, and he began to notice some changes in himself. He felt stronger and more confident than ever before, and he knew that he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
.

Finally, the day arrived when Cairo was to leave for the academy. He packed his bags and set out on the journey, eager to start this new chapter of his life.
When Cairo arrived at the academy, he was greeted by a flurry of activity. Students were rushing around, trying to find their classes and get settled in.
Cairo made his way to his dorm room, where he met his new roommate, a boy named Rex.
"Hey man, I'm Rex. Nice to meet you," Rex said, extending his hand.
Cairo shook his hand and introduced himself. They quickly hit it off and Cairo found himself feeling grateful for the friendliness of his new roommate.
