"I was so scared that I forgot to breathe, I couldn't even move," a maid was explaining her ordeal to her friend, her body still shaking as she recollected how she had narrowly escaped death.
"You're lucky, Ema. He could have broken your head for just standing there," her friend said, causing Ema to look even more ashen. She didn't need to hear that!
Amelia sighed
as she walked along the hall, hearing the maids' words. Alexander had traumatized all the servants in the castle, including herself. She made sure not to cross his path. It had been three days since the ministers visited the mansion because they were afraid of him.

"I wonder why the castle is so quiet," Alexander suddenly said, cutting off Amelia's words, and she screamed.
"Careful, you'll fall," the vampire grinned as he watched her trip on her gown in fright, almost falling to the ground.
