Chapter 5 - Agni and Drishti ?

Meanwhile, back in the forest-

The large Snake Asura constricts Yama and bites him. The large fangs leave a hole in his right shoulder and abdomen. Venom flows in his blood. He tries to force himself out of the constriction but cannot muster his strength. The asura moves closer to his head and whispers, "I am Aghasura, the snake demon. A mere mortal like you cannot free yourself from my death grip. It will push all the air out of your lungs, squeezing you to death, but before that, the poison might kill you. " Yama struggles to keep his eyes open as he lost consciousness.

The fight between Sharvara and Shyama against the bull asura is taking place nearby. Both the dogs surround him from opposite sides to diverge their concentration. The hounds of hell jump on top of the bull to bite him before the bull slams them onto the ground using its sharp horns. They continue to jump him in succession while the other dog distracts him.

The bull demon Arishtasura slams his hooves into the ground as he tore it apart with his hooves. The cracks spread towards Sharvara as he jumps back to escape them. There is a big pit that opens between him and the asura. Arishta charges toward Shyama at full speed pointing its large horns toward him. The dogs started howling as the bull approaches them.

The bull stumbles as the loud cry echoes in the forest. He suddenly lost most of his strength. "What is this? What have done to me? I am losing my strength and balance. You are making me mad. I will Raaaaage." he shouted as his eyes glows and his body is surrounded by red energy. He gathers all his strength for an ultimate attack. He jumps towards Shyama once again. The dogs stand there ready to face him head-on.

"PAUNDRAKA!!" Yama shouts as he suddenly wakes up. There is a big dust haze blown by the impact covering the complete area. The haze starts to clear up. But there are no dogs present there. Instead, a big black buffalo is locking its horn and fighting head to head. They maintain the stance for a moment before Arishtasura collapses on the ground with his tongue out. One of his horns breaks and falls on the ground.

"Well done, boys. I think I have had enough amount of rest for the moment. Now it's my turn." Yama said as his bite wounds heals. "Impossible. How can my venomous bite and death grip have no effect on you? You should be dead by now." said Aghasura as he went for another bite.

"I will show you the power of God of Death. Naraka Agni (Hell Flame)" said Yama as a bright red flame surrounds him burning the scales of the Snake Asura. Aghasura screams in agony, letting go of Yama as he loosens his grip. The rakshas is slithering on the ground as it trying to stop the fire from turning him to ashes. "Noooo! Stop this fire. Its hurts. Please stop it." the snake pleads to Yama to stop Agni.

"This is Naraka Agni, not a normal fire you can put out so easily. The more malice and impurity are there in your heart, the more it burns. The only person that can put this flame out is me. But for that, you need to help me out. Tell me, who sent you here and why? What is your goal?"

"I don't know who send us here. Aaah! All we know is that he was in our head giving us orders to follow. He wanted us to get that boy. Aaah. I told you what you asked. Now put out these flames." Aghasura said. "Not so fast. Why does he want that weak little boy? Where did he ask you to bring him? Tell me everything without hiding anything." said Yama.

"I will tell you everything. The place he asked me to bring him was ..." Agahasura said before stopping as black liquid started dripping out of his eyes, nose, and mouth. Before Yama could react, Aghasura melts into a pool of dark black liquid and Naraka Agni stops.

"Rest In Peace. In the end, you were just a pawn in someone else's game. Too proud to foresee your own demise. Such is the mystery of death." Yama said as he joins his hand to pray. "We need to find out who's behind all this before they retaliate. I am finished here. I should go see Shani."

He turns around to see Shani fighting the tornado asura. He starts to walk towards him but suddenly stops. He sees an arm piercing right through Shani's chest.

"Come on Shani. Stop messing around. I know I won before you and this proves that I am the strongest here, but still, you are better than these weak asuras." he said to Shani standing there with a hand on his chest. "This is not a contest. Be respectful to your enemies. But you are right. Time to go fallout. I will take care of him. You go bring back Devansh and help Kakol. Kakol was fighting over a lake nearby." said Devansh. " Roger that. Good Luck. Let's go Paundraka." he said before hopping on top of his buffalo as it walks away in the air.

" You should be worried about this hole in your chest instead of chatting with your friend. I, Trinavarta, the tornado demon, will be your demise." He swirls his hand and pulls his hands out of his stomach, using his other hand. The wound just closes as Shani's body turns shadowy. " I don't need to worry. But you need to be wary of your actions. Or you will receive retribution from Shani." he said firmly.

"Vakra Drishti !!" His whole body turns into a dark black shadow. Two large, dark-shaded, crooked eyes appear just above Shani's head. The demon looks up at them instinctively as they stare right back at him. He trembles, falling back on the ground. His head hurts as he screams. There are memories of him killing people and torturing them flooding in his head. He's unable to think as his mind turns blank. "This pain is karma, the retribution for all the sins you have committed. The pain you have inflicted on others. Now, tell me for whom you have committed those sins. Who is the mastermind behind this attack?" The asura opens his mouth to tell him the details when he turns into a black liquid and melts in front of Shani.

"Noo! Dammit. We could have gotten some useful information out of him. Now everything is up to you, Yama. Go save that kid." Shani said, facing the sky.

Fun Fact-

Lord Shani is the son of Chayya, the goddess of shadows. Vakra Drishti means crooked eyes and is used to describe the gaze of Lord Shani, which brings misfortune.
