The final match of today is Green Valley vs. Heaven Sword.
The Committee of All Sect told the audience due to circumstances' the Heaven Sword Sect had a penalty; it was they could only use seven disciples instead of 10 during this match.
Of course, this was a lie. Heaven Sword only had seven disciples on their team, and they told this so that the public didn't feel that the Committee favored Heaven Sword.
It didn't matter to Green Valley as they swore to defeat Heaven Sword after what they did.
Green Valley decided they'd play it safe and send in an extra first. The extra faced one of the Refinement Stage disciples; although the extras were nothing to scoff at, their skill and technique weren't on par with a disciple of Heaven Sword; therefore, they lost.
Seeing the Heaven Sword disciple stay in, they sent in another extra. They were able to defeat the Refinement Stage disciple, as their opponent was already tired from fighting. The Green Valley Sect retreated their disciple, making neither sect know which disciple they would send out next.
The Sect Leader decided to trust their intuition and send out Lena. As if she predicted the future, the Heaven Sword sect sent out one of their Ascent Stage disciples.
This disciple had dark magic and great footwork; combining those two things with their swordsmanship, they made a formidable opponent for Lena.
To fight this opponent, Lena needed great dodging and blocking. If she didn't train with Adonis, she wouldn't have the necessary blocking skill to win. But, during her training, Adonis noticed that Lena's movements had fluency and grace that could significantly improve her swordsmanship. Elder Maron, who had a vast amount of knowledge of the sword, went on to teach Lena more about it; due to this, her blocking ability had reached a level that could fight off her opponent.
Lena went on the defensive, and no matter what her opponent did, they couldn't break her defense. Her opponent eventually became exhausted, and Lena went in for the kill. She went full speed and used Shattered Barrier, her opponent tried to block it, but the technique destroyed their sword and barrier and left a wound on their chest. The opponent was sent crashing into the wall.
Lena was exhausted, and Green Valley retreated her.
Green Valley played it safe and sent out Klein; his opponent was one of the Refinement Stage disciples.
Klein didn't have the skill and technique of a Heaven Sword disciple, but that didn't mean he was inferior. He had sword practice with Elder Maron during their venture to the tournament; due to this, he had enough sword skill to keep up with his opponent. His high durability and awareness made it a nightmare for his opponent as they relied on speed. Klein became a tank that left no gaps in their defense, and his opponent soon became tired. They both went in for one final strike, and Klein came out on top, breaking his opponent's barrier.
The Sect Leader retreated Klein and was worried about who she should send next. Heaven Sword now had 3 Ascent Stage disciples and 1 Refinement Stage; people would think they would send in one of their Ascent cultivators next, but she thought otherwise. This would be the perfect time to send out their last Refinement Stage disciple to weaken Mila, Adonis, or Juniper; this would let one of their Ascent Cultivators come in for the kill and tilt the balance in their favor. So, the Sect Leader sent out Jewel.
The Sect Leader was right; the Heaven Sword Sect sent out their last Refinement Stage disciple. This was Jewel's most challenging fight.
Her opponent was a tank with earth magic; whenever she would go in for a lethal strike, her opponent would create an earth shield to block it. She had to constantly keep dodging as she didn't have the strength and durability to take one of their hits directly.
She then set her full speed and feints to the max. She was constantly running around her opponent and closing the distance in an instant; she would use her agility and flexibility to dodge all of their attacks and use her feints to distract them from the true strike. This made many cuts and holes in her opponent's barrier.
Her opponent then used their most powerful technique, Guardian Armor. This made the earth cover their entire body and create a golem-like armor that protected every inch of their body. Jewel had to use her senses and magic to their fullest to match up.
Her opponent sent many widespread attacks her way; Jewel would dodge and use them to bounce off and maneuver around her opponent. She would attack her opponent when she had the chance; she used Armor Ripper, a technique that coalesced wind and rotated it at sonic speeds so that it could easily slice through any armor. She used Armor Ripper on her daggers.
Whenever Jewel attacked, she'd stab into armor and create a deep hole. Soon, she was cornered; that was when she summoned her remaining mana and used her trump card technique, Sylph's Onslaught. She created many wind spears in the air and surrounded her opponent with them; Jewel sent them all at once and obliterated her opponent's armor and barrier while leaving deep wounds. She fainted after that after overexerting her mana core.
This left the Heaven Sword Sect with their Ascent Stage disciples. Now it was time for the final battles to commence.
