Elder Maron saw how late it was and was prepared to close the mission hall despite his eagerness to see Adonis.
But before he could do that, the doors to the mission hall opened, and he finally saw Adonis there, with a ruined green robe mixed with blood, dirt, and sweat on it. When he looked at Adonis's face, he didn't look much better due to how tired he looked.
Elder Maron is surprised that this is how he looked but also expected it since he knew he had fought Tristan during his mission. He didn't know that he had fought 9- other disciples along with Tristan.
Not only that, but Lena was also surprised about Adonis's condition, but more that he had won against Tristan and his subordinates and there were no visible wounds on his body.
'Does he have some healing potion on him or something?'
Adonis walked to the counter and gave the Elder the 40 Fire Lillies he held. Elder Maron took a few seconds to remember that Adonis came back from a collection mission and not some subjection mission.
Elder Maron took the 40 Fire Lilles and gave Adonis 50 Magic crystals. Adonis was satisfied and decided it was time to hit the hay and walked back to his dorm.
Before Adonis left, Elder Maron looked at his cultivation and was completely shocked by what he saw to the point where he stood frozen. Lena also looked at Adonis's cultivation and was equally as shocked, but she followed Adonis out of the mission hall.
As soon as Adonis left, Elder Maron shut down the mission hall and ran toward the Sect leader's temple, and was gonna call an emergency meeting for all the elders and the Sect Leader to show up and tell them all of what he found out.
With Adonis, he was walking back to his dorm and he stopped and looked behind him only to see no one. However, Adonis stayed looking as he was sure he felt a presence behind him.
"Hey, I know you're following me, so just show your face already."
There was no response.
"I'll come over there if you are not going to come out."
There was still no response.
"Ok, I warned you."
Adonis then activated his Heavenly 2-star ki and used 'Electric Flicker' to take the follower by surprise.
Lena, who was hiding was shocked to find Adonis had disappeared before her eyes and appeared right in front of her. When Adonis tried to grab her, Lena was able to dodge it and make some distance between them.
'Damn! Even though I am one of the fastest in the sect, I still only narrowly avoided that grab!'
Adonis, however, wasn't surprised by the fact she dodged it, as he has high expectations of what Inner court disciples' strength would be.
"Who are you and what do you want with me."
Adonis's tone made it sound like a threat rather than a question, as he readied himself for battle.
Lena seeing this, decided to not beat around the bush.
"My name is Lean Aluvre, and I am interested in you, Adonis."
Adonis was a little taken aback by what she meant by "interested" but still kept his guard up.
"Why are you interested in me?"
"Well, obviously because of your strength, after all, you're the one who killed Tristan and his crew with little to no wounds on you."
Adonis was immediately on full alert hearing this, but even then, he couldn't react to Lena suddenly appearing right before him. He tried to back away but Lena grabbed his wrist.
"C'mon, I won't bite~."
Adonis used his ki and broke from her grasp and backed away, this time farther from her, and was preparing his Anima so he could use any spell if she tried that again.
"Wow, impressive strength."
Lena commented, because Adonis was able to break out of her grasp despite her having a higher cultivation level.
"But considering your reaction, I was right in that you did kill Tristan and his crew."
Lena smiled triumphantly as if she won a hard-fought battle against Adonis.
Adonis realized this and was trying to think of a good excuse.
"By the way, don't try to lie or make an excuse 'cause I'll see right through it! After all, you can't bullshit a bullshiter."
Adonis looking Lena in her eyes figured out that despite her playful tone he could see the seriousness in the statement.
"So what? Are you here to get revenge for him?"
"What?! No! I hated that guy and anyone who kissed his ass!"
Adonis was surprised by this.
"So why are you here then?"
"Didn't I tell you already? I am interested in you Adonis~"
Adonis shivered at the slight seductiveness in her voice.
"Hey! Can I come closer to you already? I don't like this distance between us."
Lena said as she pouted cutely.
This only confused Adonis, as she was making it seem like they were a couple.
"I don't know, I still don't know much about you."
"C'mon! Fine...then how about you use your senses to tell if I have anything on me or I'm gonna use a spell, and if I do, I'm 100% confident that you can dodge that easily right?"
Adonis thought for a moment if he did keep full alert when she got near him, even if she had prepared a spell beforehand if he used 'Electric Flicker' he should be able to escape especially since his Heavenly 2-star ki is still activated.
"Fine...you can come near. But don't appear sudden-"
Before Adonis was able to finish the sentence, Lena had already gotten near him and placed her hand on his chest, feeling it.
"Hmm...muscles seem to be developing."
Adonis was surprised and confused by what is happening as Lena was placing her hands all around his body.
Lena, after feeling Adonis's body, went in for a hug.
"Wow... your body is really warm...it's almost making me sleepy."
Adonis's body is naturally warm due to his fire affinity, but it was also warm due to Adonis blushing at the situation, as this was his first hug from a woman that wasn't part of his family.
Adonis was still alert and could only look down at Lena, who was a head shorter than him, as she was pressing her head up against his chest and realized how beautiful this girl was.
Lena then suddenly looked up at Adonis's blushing face and put on a teasing expression.
"My my~. Were you admiring me~?"
"No, I was just...looking..."
"Really? You sure you weren't thinking any thoughts up there~?"
"Umm...just how beautiful you looked...is all..."
Adonis said with his face as red as a tomato and looking away.
Lena blushed a bit at hearing this, as she could tell he was saying that sincerely without any other intention in mind.
"My~, isn't someone a flirt~?"
Lena said as she leans her body further into Adonis's body, pressing her chest into his chest.
Adonis blushed even more and felt like his head would catch fire at this rate.
"Hey~ if you want to~."
Lena grabbed Adonis's face and made him look at her.
"We both could go back to my room, what do you say~?
