Chapter 2 - The Head of a Fox

When he heard that there was a new female student in his class, Mineta was overexcited. He could already picture her voluptuous chest, her rounded hips, firm bottom, soft eyes, long hair, long legs, sexy voice, you name it. He could already see her in his mind. When the whole of class 1A with the exception of Katsuki, Shoto and Fumikage had decided to visit the new student, he had been at the front leading them. 'My dreams of finally seeing the perfect woman who will adhere to my needs will finally be true!' he exclaimed mentally as he envisioned her whispering sweet-nothings in his ears.

He was the one to knock the door, the anticipation becoming a physical pain in his chest. What he wasn't expecting was coming face to face with the head of a fox, a very big head, a bit oversized on the body. It had piercing red eyes with a sinister look on its face, its wide mouth and teeth bared and glistening. A large number of long tails were swaying behind. All dreams of the perfect girl vanished in that instant. "Hie guys," it said, coming out like a deep growl. He was the first one to scream followed by Mina and the rest of the class. "Nice to meet you," it added with widening of its mouth. He fainted.

Sakura always knew her appearance was unusual. She had the head of a fox, Kurama's head to be precise. She had told him time and again to give her real face and not his stupid fox face but he had simply told her that he didn't know how to and only she had the power to do so. Apart from the fox face, she had adopted all of his facials; the red eyes when she wasn't in a good mood, the sinister look was a permanent one. The voice however wasn't usually Kurama's voice. She used her natural girlish, human voice but when her nerves were a mess, just like today, she used Kurama's beast voice.

To top it off, she had Kurama's nine tails always swishing behind her. They were a pain as she had to wear all her trousers, shorts and jeans below her waistline to cater for her tails. Dresses were another thing she didn't want to think about. Her figure in general was in the least bit curved, she was a late bloomer after all, she thought. Her chest was average sized at best, something which bothered her as all the women here had large chests. Despite being 17 years old, gauging by the level of maturity she had (because of her amnesia, she wasn't sure how old she was), she was shorter than most girls her age and it annoyed her to the end.

The look of utter horror on her classmates' faces as she spoke depressed her. The little midget with purple hair was the first to scream followed by the rest of the class. Try to speak again. Maybe your voice will come out normally, Kurama said inside her head. "Nice to meet you," she added. The midget fainted. She slammed the door closed. "Why did I even think I could have a normal introduction with you inside me?" she complained out loud to Kurama. Not my fault, it said.

POOF!!!

"Great, and now I've turned into you completely," she sighed tiredly as she took in the entire form of Kurama as a fox. The fox decided against commenting and settled into the back of her mind as she began complaining how she didn't know her own hair color.

"What just happened?" Ochaco asked as she blinked owlishly. "I think we just met our classmate," Tenya said as he adjusted his glasses. "You mean the fox face?" Mina asked as she shuddered. "I suppose so," the blue-haired boy said. "Mineta fainted, ribbit," Tsuyu pointed out. "Serves him right from expecting way too much," Jirou said as she turned and began walking to her room. "That was disappointing," Denki said as he grabbed Mineta's collar and began dragging him to his room. "She's very manly!" Eijirou commented. "Not funny," Mina deadpanned. "I suppose we should all go to our rooms now, it's already past eleven," Izuku said with a loop sided smile, trying to cheer up everyone who had been frightened by the new student. 'I'll have to ask her about her quirk, seems very unique to me,' he thought as he made his way to his room.

Shoto was sitting in the common room, waiting for his soba to cool when he heard a female voice speaking softly, coming from the laundry room. "Yeah, it was okay, I guess….. same reaction as usual….fifth floor, great room, don't know how you managed to fit it….." He heard a hint of sarcasm and bitterness. "…..they seem nice enough…..I know, I'll try…..just wished I could be normal for once….." There was a long pause. "…..don't worry oji-san, you've already done a lot for me…..you too, good night…..thank you for everything you've done for me….." There was another pause, a long sigh and footsteps.

He had met many people with weird quirks; including Fumikage who has the head of a bird even though he didn't understand how his bird head was related to his quirk. But seeing an oversized fox head on a petite frame dressed in black sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt with nine tails swaying behind, he couldn't help but stare. The first thing he clearly noticed however was the fiery green eyes which were clouded with emotion. "You got anything to say?" she asked. The eyes had turned an angry red. "Are you the new student?" he asked. She nodded yes. "Nice to meet you. Welcome to class 1A and U.A." With that, he picked his now cold soba and exited the common room, leaving a dumb-founded Sakura.

'That was Shoto Todoroki ,right? Endeavour's youngest son?' she asked Kurama. It appears so, the fox replied. She was silent for a few moments before a large smile was stretched on her face. 'He's even cooler in person! SHANNARO!' she squealed internally. 'I finally met the son of my favourite hero! SHANNARO!' she continued to squeal.

Mineta arrived in the common room to find the fox grinning maniacally. He fainted again.

Sakura was dressed in the U.A tracksuit. She hadn't gotten her costume yet so she used her tracksuit. She had calmed after being in a frenzy state last night. She glanced cautiously around the students who were chatting animatedly with each other, feeling so out of place. She was looking for Shoto, wanting to start a conversation with him as he was the first person to welcome her to U.A apart from Nezu. As she scanned the class for him, she found herself locking eyes with angry red eyes which were glaring at her, mocking her. Green clashed with red as they glared daggers at each other. 'Don't get in my way,' he seemed to say. She lifted her chin and turned away from him with her head held high. 'Pfft, stupid kid,' she thought. Kurama hummed in agreement.

"Today is the last day of preparation for your Provisional Heroes License Exams," Aizawa said with a yawn. "I'm sure you are all aware of the new student. I expect you to treat her kindly," he said as he narrowed his eyes at Kat suki specifically. All the students nodded fearfully. "As you complete your signature moves, I'll be taking a Quirk Evaluation Test with Haruno. Don't come to find me," he said. "Excuse me Aizawa-sensei, can I also attend Haruno's Quirk Evaluation test?" Izuku asked. "Me too!" Mina shouted. "And me too!" Eijirou said. "Count me out," a tired Mineta said. He hadn't been able to sleep the entire night having nightmares about the fox. Aizawa stared at them through narrowed but sleepy eyes. "If it is possible, can the whole class watch? I'm sure everyone would like to know our classmate's strengths," Momo said, taking the position of class rep. Aizawa glanced around before letting out a tired sigh. "Fine but no stupid questions."
