Chereads / Tale of the Dreamer / Chapter 16 - 000

Chapter 16 - 000

Geographically, the world is approximately twice the size of Earth and is divided into two distinct halves, the north and south, by the river Nagvinashak, also known as the change bringer. The two halves of the world cannot interact with each other due to the presence of this river.

The great mountain in the north is known as Fonsmirus, and the southern mountain is called Dúnbhríogh. The rivers originating from these mountains further divide the world into eastern and western regions. The rivers from these mountains meet at the equator, but avoid the river Nagvinashak by traveling through the air above it. Above it means, where the world's atmosphere ends.

The only known satellite launched by the city outside the world's atmosphere has given us knowledge of the mountain in the north, but its outdated technology could only provide general topography.

The world does not have any seas, and the source of water for its inhabitants are the tributaries of the river originating from the mountains.

The city, the most technologically advanced civilization on this world, is located in the southeast hemisphere, and shares its borders with both the empire and the dynasty. It is also the closest settlement to the river, sharing one of its borders with the great forest, which spans both sides of the world. The great forest includes a variety of terrains such as plains, deserts, valleys, canyons, and more, and is the nearest topography to the river Nagvinashak that can maintain its original form.

The city is surrounded by a barrier that can withstand attacks from beings up to level 8, and it is not solely made with technology.

Regarding the river Nagvinashak, it is unknown whether it came from outside the world or originated within it. The liquid from this river acts as water and is ubiquitous throughout the world as humidity. Its density increases with altitude, meaning that its density is lower in areas closer to the center of the world. The most fundamental characteristic of the liquid is its ability to bring change to everything. It is also the creation that has the closest relation with imagination. The river cannot be crossed because the density of its humidity is highest above it, and traveling above it is the same as being inside the river.

Numinators, beings with the ability to bring change to others and themselves, are divided into two categories: herculeans and psychics. Herculeans bring change to their physical bodies, while psychics bring change to their soul. There are not many differences between herculeans and psychics from level 6.. Numinators can only explore the river Nagvinashak at level 6 and above.

The creatures of the grear forest are more powerful and stranger the nearer they are to river Nagvinashak. These creatures are called mutagenic life, mutants for short. It includes plant and microbial life as well.

The land creatures outside the forest are not much different from ordinary animals. While aerial animals follow the characteristics of creatures of the great forest.

Some powerful creatures, whose power level equals level 8 and above can come out of river Nagvinashak, and they are called as dream/nightmare beings . But they can only stay outside for a short time as the restrictions of the world forbids them from leaving the river, the beings made from imagination.

Nirmay achieved comprehension of the first truth, existence, after a year long seclusion.

Nirmay comprehended the second truth, non-existence, after defeating death.

The third truth, imagination/fantasy/dream encompasses all creations of mind, including emotions such as desire and despair, as well as things that are beyond imagination or comprehension.

The fourth truth, restrictions includes bindings imposed by human laws, moral principles, morality natural forces like gravity, rules of creation and such.

The fifth and sixth truths remain a mystery to Nirmay.

Nirmay's understanding of the aforementioned truths is confined solely to himself and his existence as a conscious being. Being a conscious being is his truth of existence and non-existence.

Using his existential powers, Nirmay can manipulate reality, although his understanding and cognitive abilities limit the extent of his power. While he cannot create the Earth or raise the dead, he can still shape reality to his liking.

However, Nirmay's comprehension of imagination is not yet complete, preventing him from realizing everything he envisions.

Nirmay is not subject to restrictions as they do not apply to non-existence, which he has already comprehended. Nevertheless, his understanding of restrictions remains incomplete.

Note: His consciousness is not restricted but his creations are.

Nirmay can manipulate the truths of others that he has grasped, granting him the power to eliminate those who lack comprehension of non-existence.

While much about Nirmay remains a mystery, including his previous name, cause of death, and former world, he values his moral integrity and seeks to enjoy life. Although he was once indecisive and cowardly, his nigh-omnipotent powers have nearly eliminated these traits.

Naming topographical regions in this world is an exclusive right reserved only for the most powerful beings, while individuals may name things they create or have substantial influence over.
