Luo Luo's addition was definitely a shot in the arm for Class 18.
The next morning, when Chu Yi arrived at the classroom, he was shocked to find everyone sitting upright and reciting Chinese or English.
He rubbed his eyes and looked back at the classroom to make sure he wasn't mistaken.
"Hu Lai, aren't you supposed to be sleeping at this time?" Chu Yi asked.

Chu Yi was speechless. He might as well change Hu Lai's name to Hu Shuo (meaning "talk nonsense").
He walked over to Gu Feifei and found her silently memorizing English words. He felt like his mind had been blown away - this girl usually made their English teacher so angry she wanted to spit blood!
"Gu Feifei, you haven't eaten breakfast yet. You should eat first before studying," Chu Yi kindly reminded her since she was his granddaughter after all and he didn't want her getting sick from neglecting her health.
But unexpectedly, Gu Feifei retorted with a sneer: "Teacher, learning is more important than breakfast! I always put my studies first; there's no need for your advice."
"Oh yeah," she added suddenly. "Tell our English teacher that I have some questions for her after school..."
Chu Yi felt uncomfortable all over - they were never this studious in his previous life!

"Teacher Chu," Wang Ling said seriously while looking him straight in the eye. "Although we admire you greatly, please don't wander around here if you have nothing better to do; it affects our studies."

"Teacher," Luo Luo smiled mischievously. "I have privileges - as long as I maintain first place in my grade level, I can come late or leave early without attending class or doing homework."
After she went home yesterday, she received a call from her family telling her that their troubles had been resolved.
Her bright eyes seemed to see through Chu Yi's soul; he felt powerless against her charm.
"Chu Teacher," she said teasingly. "Your expression when you're upset is really cute." Then she returned to her seat with an enchanting fragrance lingering behind her.
Chu Yi stood still for a moment before realizing that he'd just been teased by his student!

Their workload increased significantly during their second year of high school; teachers were also under pressure since their next step would be preparing students for college entrance exams (gaokao).
In the office, Chu Yi sought advice from Tan Yu about teaching-related issues while Chen Junyu didn't show up today - according to Tan Yu he was too ashamed to stay here any longer and might transfer back to First High School soon enough given his background which made it an easy task.
At this moment, a male teacher in his early thirties walked in. He was full of energy and had a proud smile on his face.

"Ah!!!" Gao Deshang let out an extremely miserable scream. "Don't come near me! Don't come near me!"
He already had mysophobia (fear of germs), and being messed up by Chu Yi like this made him feel suicidal.

"Are you guys the ones who bullied my Wang Ling?" Luo Luo did not mince her words and even glanced at their private parts while making a clicking sound with her tongue. "You guys are like this and still have the nerve to harass girls?"
"Wang Ling, make sure you look carefully from now on; don't date guys with conditions like these in restrooms."
The boys of Class 1 were dumbfounded. Did the school flower just insult them?
They blushed and some didn't even finish urinating before stuffing it back in.
