Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Tea Leaves Like Swords, Water Like Knives

"Fanhong, do you think that this one million can make me take action?" Wei Fu had his own pride.

He had met a nobleman in his early years and studied martial arts for thirty years. He finally entered the ranks of internal strength and his strength increased greatly. Ordinary three to five people were not opponents at all. Even if he encountered more people, he could leave calmly.

"One million is indeed not worth your two's shot. Of course, this is only the price for sparring. If you participate in the subsequent competition, I will directly pay five million." Fan Hong said generously.

If he could get that piece of land, the value produced would be tens of billions. He was willing to spend a few hundred thousand on it.

Moreover, being able to make friends with these two people was also a good investment.

"Five million? So much?" Chu Yi was somewhat surprised but it was reasonable too. When he left Earth before, he wasn't even a warrior yet and didn't have any concept of money in the immortal world either. Now that he has returned to this life again, it's still the first time seeing so much money.

If there really are hundreds of thousands then his family's burden can be reduced by a lot.

He was somewhat interested as well because when coming over here this time around on one hand knew that they needed him while on another hand wanted to earn some extra cash like Fan Hong did.

"Ones who can be moved by just several hundred thousand are probably not very powerful," Wei Fu sneered and glanced at Chu Yi with narrowed eyes shaking his head disdainfully.

But actually inside him already started stirring up restlessly since before internal energy emerged within him; every time taking action would result in no more than ten or twenty thousand but now easily getting several hundred thousand instead made him feel excited inside.

"Fanhong, let me ask you, did the person invited by the Xinde Group break a wooden table with just one palm?" Wei Fu asked.

Fanhong nodded repeatedly: "Indeed so. We originally wanted to take action on the spot but who would have thought that person was so powerful? A'lang wouldn't be his opponent either."

After thinking about it for a moment, Fanhong knew that the other party had surpassed the limits of an ordinary person's body which is why they invited Wei Fu and Chu Yi.

"That's internal energy," Wei Fu replied. "It's fortunate that you didn't take action or else even wearing armor would result in being killed."

"Internal energy? What is that?" Fan Hong was puzzled since ordinary people rarely come into contact with that world.

"Young man, do you know what internal energy is?" Wei Fu didn't explain but instead looked at Chu Yi provocatively and said: "If you don't know then there's no need for sparring next."

Chu Yi held the tea that Ah Lang handed over with one hand, not angry at all. He smiled leisurely and had the demeanor of a master. Everything can be lost, but not your style.

"Hong Lao Da, so-called internal strength, you can think of it as the inner power in martial arts novels."

"Internal strength is produced when a person breaks through their limits. Of course, even those who have been practicing martial arts for years can produce it without breaking through their limits and stepping into this path."

"That's so mysterious?" Ah Lang was surprised and heard about these things for the first time.

"It's normal enough. However, internal strength is just a small path for us to enter. There are more distant paths ahead of us. As for your competitors who can smash tables and chairs with one palm strike, they must have deep internal strength."

"Hmm? There's some truth to what you're saying. It seems like you know something too, but you sound quite arrogant by calling internal strength a small path!" Wei Fu was dissatisfied because he spent decades producing his own internal strength while someone else called it insignificant.

However, he didn't know that even if Chu Yi were a grandmaster on Earth, he would only be considered powerful among mortals; in the immortal realm, he would at most be a gatekeeper.

"Some people think highly of themselves and believe they've conquered Mount Everest when they're actually standing at its base." Chu Yi sarcastically retorted without any reservations.

"Young man! You don't know your place! Judging from your age alone I doubt you've even developed any internal strength yet! Tell me where you come from; if by chance you're my old friend's disciple then I'll just scold you instead of attacking." Wei Fu crossed his legs arrogantly sinking half his body into the sofa while holding back his anger due to his status.

When an ordinary man gets angry, blood will spill five steps away. What more when it's a martial artist who has developed internal strength?

His shout was like thunder and made Fan Hong and Ah Lang temporarily deaf while their hearts raced faster.

"This is internal strength?" Fan Hong exclaimed in awe as he looked at Wei Fu as if he were a living god.

The mysterious person he met years ago may have been powerful but never showed his skills so they couldn't accurately estimate them. But now, this one shout was truly earth-shattering.

Fan Hong's respect for him grew even stronger.

"Mr. Wei is indeed a master." Fan Hong's eyes narrowed with admiration.

"Young man! What do you mean by that?" Wei Fu felt unhappy inside.

"These kinds of methods are only impressive to outsiders; go back and practice for several more years before showing off again." Chu Yi remained calm and unafraid, looking at Wei Fu with interest.

This was the first time he had encountered someone on Earth who had developed internal strength.

"If not for Fan Hong's face, I would've attacked you already. Now you're forcing me to do so!" Wei Fu slapped the sofa then suddenly rolled around like a carp jumping out of water, rising up one meter into the air in an instant. He approached Chu Yi quickly then struck out with his palm causing strong winds to blow within the office space.

Chu Yi remained calm and collected as he took another sip of tea then lightly clapped his left hand forward.

Wei Fu originally thought he could easily defeat his opponent, but in that instant, he felt something was wrong. His powerful palm strike seemed to hit cotton and lost all its strength. Then a stronger force acted on his arm, causing him to scream in pain and fall back onto the sofa.

"I didn't expect you to have some skills too. Your internal energy is deeper than mine, but fighting isn't just about one's own strength." He slapped the pocket on his right leg and a copper plate appeared in his hand.

Since mastering internal energy, Wei Fu had never suffered such a defeat before and naturally wanted to regain face. He looked at Chu Yi with an ominous gaze and said: "This is a magical tool. I wonder if you can withstand it."

With the activation of internal energy, black mist suddenly rose from the copper plate causing the temperature in the office to drop sharply making Fan Hong and Ah Lang shiver uncontrollably.

The previous fight was within their understanding but what were these black mists now?

Unfathomable!

They instinctively knew that if they came into contact with it they would be seriously injured or even killed instantly.

Ah Hu and Zhao Yue who had just entered were horrified as if they saw ghosts appearing before them; their faces turned pale as they froze at the door.

"Hmm? Rarely do I encounter such trashy items which barely qualify as magical tools. Are you giving this to me?" Chu Yi grinned.

"Arrogant!"

"Swoosh!"

A gust of black wind swept through.

"Chu teacher! Get out of there!" Fan Hong suppressed her fear and shouted urgently.

But Chu Yi seemed not to hear her at all; he shook his tea cup slightly then swung his wrist when the black wind was about to reach him causing tea water poured out towards it like lightning speed hitting through it unexpectedly passing by Wei Fu's ear piercingly then penetrated the back of the sofa with a loud bang and disappeared into a painting on the wall behind it.

The painting, depicting hundreds of birds facing a phoenix, swayed twice on the wall as if being torn apart before turning into scraps of paper that fluttered down to the ground along with tea water.

"What is this?" Wei Fu was completely stunned; his heart stopped beating for an instant. He felt a slight pain in his ear and when he touched it, blood had already oozed out.

Turning his head around, there was now a small hole in the back of this million-dollar sofa.

When he saw the wall, his heart almost jumped into his throat.

He saw several small holes on the wall, and drops of tea were dripping out from them. In the center, there were more than ten pieces of tea leaves that had half-frozen and stiffly embedded in the wall.

Tea leaves like swords, water like knives, a cup of tea can harm enemies!

"Qi surging inside your body... You're not just a martial artist but a warrior!" Wei Fu realized belatedly.

Amidst everyone's shocked gazes, Chu Yi smiled without saying anything. Even grandmasters would find it difficult to perform this technique.

After all, in his previous life he was Yan Luo Xian Zun!

Zhao Yue's eyes almost popped out as he felt everything happening before him was an illusion.

Only now did he understand why Wolf Brother asked him to apologize to Chu Yi and why Hong Lao Da showed so much respect towards him.

This kind of person is too terrifying; even with just tea water in his hands has such power. Wouldn't it be easy for him to kill someone with just some paper?

His heart shuddered with cold sweat.
