When Xie Jianyu opened his eyes in the morning, the room was already flooded by gentle rays of sunlight that seeped through the ornamental apertures of the lattice door.
He carefully disentangled himself from Zhang Fengxi in order to not wake him up. His husband had such a peaceful expression on his face when he slept. Xie Jianyu smiled to himself as he watched Zhang Fengxi's sleeping face for a while.
Xie Jianyu swung his feet to the edge of the bed. A pair of strong arms wrapped themselves around his waist and pulled him back to bed.
"Ah...!"
"Where are you going?"
Zhang Fengxi dragged himself to the edge of the bed and lay his head on Xie Jianyu's lap.
"It's already the morning," Xie Jianyu ran his fingers across Zhang Fengxi's messy hair. "Time to wake up."
Zhang Fengxi groaned. Eyes still closed, he pressed his face against Xie Jianyu's stomach.
