Boredy board bored I'm so boared. Let's see. The night sky is still pretty. It reminds me of "starry night". Wait. Did the moon always look like that? The sky is starting to look like mixing swirls of clouds and dirt. The people around me go still. The lights of pubs and restaurants wrap our faces. The brick buildings begin to crack and shake.
Suddenly everything starts to expand and grow. mountains shoot from the horizon. Thick trees explode from the ground. Some people scream while some sit still. Is it just me or is the ground getting farther?
...Damn it a tree shot me up while growing. I don't think I'll survive this fall...eh, oh well. Might as well enjoy the scenery before I go for real this time. Let's see. The modern buildings we finally managed to fix and build are just gone. Nothing but house wide trees with shining gold fruits and iridescent blue leaves around. Oop, there's the first death. Half the people up here with me survived having most of our organs eaten yet a small fall does us in.Eh, oh well. Guess nothing can beat gravity.
The fuck! A flying monster grabs me. Its body is long and slender. Covered in feathers and with four wings it glides across the sky. Inside its beak I sit, having enough room to stand up fine. Head of an owl, body of a snake, and legs of a wolf. My kind of abomination!
I wonder if I should dive down its throat? It's saliva isn't melting me so I can wait. Gotta be careful of the teeth though. The roof of its mouth is covered in thick sharp teeth. Oop nevermind. Guess I got no choice. I feel it violently jerk its head up. Man I wanted to burst out of its chest. Guess I gotta choke it.
And so I jam my hand and feet into the throat walls. Blue spews from the pink flesh. Veins snap as I continue to dig and kick. Even when it's clearly falling I continue. Squelch! Despite only having one arm I claw my way out of its windpipe. Well there goes my clothes. I was wearing some lazy pants and white shirt. Now I look like a blue alien on LSD.
Smash! Squelch! Bang!
Looks like we've landed. Nice seeing you definitely wouldn't want to be you! After climbing its throat I open up its beak and fall face first onto the ground.....yes just as planned. Anyways where am I? Let's see there's nothing but trees around me.
Their bark is smooth and light, a dirty brown covering theie shining blue canopy. Roots as big as a person rise from their house wide base. Purple bushes and black dirt line the ground. Considering the small curtains of light peeking through the treetops I'm sure it's day time. What to do; what to do?
Em, I choose to walk towards the light source! North, West, South, East? Hell if I know. And, so I walk. Occasionally some of the flowers will turn into little fairies and examine me and sometimes the bushes will grow legs and try to drop-kick me.
The flowers are pretty gentle. They look kind of like tiny women. Except for the having a long green tail instead legs part. I think they have wings? They have leaves on their back but they aren't flapping. Huh, they're a little skinny and pale too. The bushes look kind of like komodo dragons. The chest is leaves and the rest is knotted up branches. I wonder where the ents are?
Eh, don't care. And so night and day passes a few times. After a little over a week I'm covered in moss and fairies. There's a crowd of little turtles with rock shells, flower spirits, and bush wolves following me. At first they wouldn't stop flinging little lights at me while screaming but now they seem pretty attached.
Sometimes I'll hear them hum a little song. At night the bush wolves will encourage me to sleep on them. I don't really need to sleep but their pretty comfy so why not.
Hmm? One of the flower spirits plucks some berries from one of the bush wolves and crams them in my mouth. "Thanks?" Why is it blushing? This one is pretty different from the rest. It's twice as big and wears clothes. Its hair is light yellow, like the petal dress it wears. Its eyes are ocean blue.
After staring for a bit she moves to the top of my head. Every day or some it'll try to guide me. Of course I let it. Why not? The fairies around me get jealous. In the end the strongest bush wolf becomes my pillow, the largest turtle rock becomes a chair, and the dress fairy just sleep on my head. Fun. Finally, after over a month we make it to our destination. All of the fairies have left me except the strange one. I kind of miss the bush wolves. Those berries are pretty good. Maybe I...sho...Again?
Death. Decay. Ruin.
A foggy fallen city full of blood and corpses is in front of me. The seemingly endless buildings have collapsed onto each other. Horses, giant lizards, and giant birds lie dead in front of smashed carriages. So this world got fucked too, huh.
There's plenty of human corpses. A few dead children here and there as well as some monster corpses. The monsters are pretty ugly. Their waist is super thin as well as long and their arms and legs are slender but packed with muscle. The skin is a deep blue and they have a human head with the exception of pointed ears and bull-like horns on their forehead.
As I walk further in I notice more signs that this society's technological level is similar to Earth's. Plenty of knocked over light posts all over the place. Some of the houses have what looks like stoves. I think there might be washing machines too? Hell if I know.
Dead. Dead. Dead. From children to elders. From house pets to wild beasts. Monster or human, dead is dead. Quite a few of them have faces frozen in fear. At those who have faces. So many corpses here have been mutilated beyond understanding. Even so, their fear and anger is clear as day.
Suddenly, the fairy starts to scream and pull me . It's just tugging at my hair but I play along. Though, I really do want to see it trying so hard with its little puffed cheeks. Oh well. It takes me to one of the most in tact houses.
Small bushes and giant boulders surround it. The door is made of long rotted wood, the cracked walls made of brick. Its plate roof has long since collapsed inward. Before I can even push the door falls off it's hinges. Wait? The fuck!
"Owh ear uyo!"
Suddenly there's a kid holding me down. He's incredibly skinny and dirty. Was his hair always that brown? I see some gold so maybe he's blond. His skin is caked in mud, the somewhat clean parts exposing a milky white. He's wearing what could barely pass as clothes. More of a sack really. Oh, kids got a knife at my throat. Sorry but no thanks.
I stand up, lifting the kid easily. He manages to stab me in the gut once but no big deal. Oh, his veins and eyes are glowing. Suddenly, he gets a bit stronger. "Kid your not escaping. So what exactly happened? Did this place get zombies too?"
He goes quiet. Staring at the fairy on my head he goes agape. "Sthi si ym ngardia? Si Ti Neve Nhuma?" The hell is he saying? The fairy gets off my head and whispers something into his ears. Suddenly he calms down. It signals me to let him down. Alright, but no second chances.
Crack. Crack. Crack.
Still. For a few seconds silence devours the world. The sky starts to crack. Like shards of glass it falls, being absorbed into dark holes eating the space around us. I catch a glimpse of earth. Its different. Larger. New Continents have appeared. There's two moons. The sun is the same.
Blink.
Blink.
Blink.
The stars flash in and out of existence. Suddenly, there's nothing. The sky has returned to normal. The environment is the same. It feels similar yet different. Something like a tiny river has flown into the kid's and fairy's head "Huh, I guess there's two moons now. Cool." Another apocalypse...god fucking damn it. From zombies to space bullshit. Wait why is everyone staring at me? Hmm nothing feels different?
"Rtravele?"
"All onu á óperdi?"
