It was the day—the day when Ronnie would watch his first tournament. He was accompanied by his friends amidst a large crowd gathered at the venue. The entire place was teeming with people due to the tournament scheduled to begin at 4 PM. Although Ronnie hadn't mentioned it to his friends, he planned to leave around five.
Ronnie was with Poppy, having gotten separated from their other friends, Maverick and Anthony. It was already 1 PM, and Ronnie felt hungry, but Poppy seemed full and showed no signs of being hungry. Since there were still plenty of people around, they decided to explore the various booths and enjoy themselves.
Among the crowd, they noticed a Gifted individual being surrounded by numerous people. Clad in green attire, his aura alone indicated his gifted status. He also wore makeup, which caught their attention.
"Hey, I suddenly feel connected to him," said Poppy.
"I see. So that person in green is also a..." Ronnie's sentence trailed off as he noticed something glowing on Poppy's right deltoid.
"A gift symbol," he exclaimed.
The gift symbol determined whether a person was gifted or not. Poppy had the beta symbol, indicating he held the second position in the power hierarchy. Ronnie was surprised to discover that Poppy had become a Gifted individual. The sight attracted a lot of attention, and a crowd quickly gathered around them.
"I'm not needed here, so I'll get out of here. You're the star tonight," Ronnie whispered to Poppy before rushing away from the crowd.
After finding his way out of the commotion, Ronnie spotted an old friend, Allan.
"Ronnie, can I borrow your phone? Mine has no storage, and I need to take a picture of the Gifted here," Allan requested.
"Sure," Ronnie agreed, handing his phone to Allan.
A couple of minutes later, Allan returned the phone to Ronnie. Curiously, Ronnie glanced at the photo Allan had taken and discovered it was a selfie. In the picture, Allan stood beside a skinny guy wearing glasses.
"Hahahahahaha," Ronnie chuckled inwardly.
While laughing, Poppy called out to him.
"Let's get out of here."
After the commotion, they resumed walking to pass the time. As they strolled, Poppy noticed a woman. Her aura and the tattoo-like symbol on her shoulder indicated she was also a Gifted individual, bearing the Gamma symbol.
"She looks pretty tired," Poppy remarked.
"I know, that's funny," Ronnie replied.
The gifted woman possessed striking beauty and a petite figure, but none of that concerned Ronnie at the moment. He couldn't help but laugh at the idea of teasing her, even though they were complete strangers.
"Hey, big sis, you okay there? Hihihihi," Ronnie and Poppy playfully taunted her before departing. The woman was left stunned, unable to utter a word.
