Chapter 7 - Chapter 6: The first metting

after a short trip, Hikaru and Shido arrived at their destination: a grand modern edifice

"So this is where I will be residing from this moment forward," Hikaru mused.

"Shall we take a peek inside?", shido suggested

Once they entered, Hikaru was struck by the building's opulence and magnificence. Her jaw remained slackened the entire time.

Upon exiting the elevator, they arrived at her room's door, which Shido opened with a cart.

"Here you are. This room has everything you could need: a bedroom, a bathroom, a living room, and even a television if you ever get bored," Shido informed her warmly.

"Thank you so much," Hikaru said gratefully.

'This is undoubtedly a five-star room. I couldn't have asked for a better one. Wow, that television is enormous, And how were they able to fix it in the wall?' she thought to herself as she proceeded to the bathroom.'Even the bathroom is exquisite; I must have struck the jackpot.'

"There are so many rooms in this building," she commented.

"yes, we trying to save as much spirit as we could", Shido replied.

"I'm the only spirit currently residing here right now?" Hikaru remarked, bewildered.

"There is supposed to be another spirit here, but she insisted on living at my house. Her name is Tohka," Shido explained.

"Tohka, huh? I can't blame her; even though the rooms are of high quality, living alone in this vast building can be disheartening," Hikaru remarked.

"Are you feeling lonely?" Shido inquired, surprised.

"Nah, but it would be nice to live with a friend or family," replied Hikaru.

"Would you like to spend the night at my house?" asked Shido.

"That sounds really wrong boy, but I would like to. I am also interested in meeting another spirit like myself," responded Hikaru.

"Oh, okay. I think there is an empty room at my house where you can stay. But I hope you keep it down; Tohka is sleeping in the next room," warned Shido. 'I have to wake up early to explain everything to Tohka. Why do I have a feeling that something bad will happen?' shido finished

After the morning set, Shido awoke to the sound of an explosion

"What happened? What is that sound?" He moved his head to the alarm clock. "I forgot to set the alarm. Oh no, Tohka!"

He quickly got out of bed and ran towards the source of the sound, which was coming from the kitchen. As he got closer, he could hear a mix of voices. One of two people arguing and one of a little girl crying.

"Kotori?" said Shido as he entered the living room.

He found Kotori crying while her hair tie was missing. Tohka and Hikaru were fighting for... food?

"How dare you steal my kinako bread?" said Tohka furiously.

"I didn't know, okay? There were so many types of food in the fridge, and it happened that I took those bread randomly," said Hikaru.

"It doesn't matter. I want my kinako bread back now!" responded Tohka even more angrily.

"Sorry little girl, they're already in my stomach, nothing I can do," said Hikaru nonchalantly.

"So that's your answer, huh? So get ready to pay for your sins," said Tohka, lifting a wooden table above her head, ready to throw it at Hikaru.

"You really are a mad one," said Hikaru, ready to defend herself.

While they were busy in their argument, Shido was already calming his crying little sister.

After giving her her hairband, he turned his attention to the fighting girls.

"STOP RIGHT NOW!!!" Shido shouted, getting the girls' attention.

Shido?" said Tohka with a low-volume tone.

"Oh, good morning, boy. Did you sleep well?" said Hikaru with a smug.

"What is the meaning of this? What happened?" asked Shido.

"Um, Shido, you see, I woke up this morning and went to get my kinako bread that I saved from our previous date, and I found this strange girl already eating them. She ate all my kinako bread, Shido!" said Tohka with a sad tone, defending herself.

"Hikaru?" said Shido, prompting Hikaru to explain.

"Well, you see..."

As the sun rose, Hikaru awakened in her new room. She rose from her bed and opened the window to gaze at the sunrise.

"It's 5:30," she murmured to herself. "Good, I have some time to figure out how to conceal my spirit power."

Sitting on her bed with her legs spread wide, she pondered the matter.

"Using the same method that I explained to the little girl is kind of impossible. I can let my spirit power out of my body as lightning waves, but that would exhaust me physically and mentally all the time."

She thought deeply, considering how she could hide her power. Suddenly, a question popped into her mind.

"Wait, how can they sense that power?" she asked herself.

"yes that is it!" she shouted in her mind

Realizing she had hit upon something, she exclaimed silently,

"Yes, that's it!" Remembering her encounter with the girl from , she recalled that the girl had mentioned her mana being that of a low-tier mage.

"I was storing my mana inside my body, so they shouldn't be able to know the amount.

That means they use some unique method to sense it, and I think I know what it is."

upon being satisfied with her discovery, She left her room and walked to the bathroom, which was conveniently located next door.

"Now it's time to see what my body looks like," she said to herself

She made her clothes disappear and examined her naked form.

she didn't have time to feel shame, She was surprised to see that her body was covered in scars.

"It seems like this body has its own history," she thought to herself, deciding to explore that topic at another time.

after all, she was curious and couldn't help but wonder,

"How does it feel to be a woman?" She extended her arm to her lower half and the other to her breast, feeling the sensitivity of her body.

"Mmmmm..." she moaned softly before quickly pulling her hands back.

'sensitive, so much compart to the male one, i have to be careful not to let lust get the best of me," she thought to herself as she put her clothes back on.

As she left the bathroom, Hikaru made her way to the kitchen, feeling her stomach rumble with hunger.

"I really need to find something to eat," she thought to herself.

"But I don't want to be disrespectful and eat without permission, I am just a guest here after all."

Entering the kitchen, she opened the fridge anyway and was surprised by how full it was.

"Wow, this fridge is more full than my luck in life," she remarked as she perused the shelves for something to eat.

"It's early morning, so I think I should choose something light."

As she searched for food, Hikaru noticed something hidden in the back of the fridge.

"Oh, sweet bread! Perfect," she thought to herself as she grabbed the bread.

But then she wondered why it had been hidden there.

"Why were these hidden in the back?" she mused. "Maybe just coincidence"

"If I were in your place, I wouldn't eat that," the voice said, startling her.

"Oh, hey little girl. Since when were you here?" Hikaru asked, taking a bite of the bread.

"I just got here, and my name is Kotori, not 'little girl'," Kotori replied, a little annoyed.

"oh nice to bet ou....goto" she Swallows the piece of bread "... kotori" she finished while eating another piece

kotori glanced at her for a while

"What?" asked Hikaru

"You weren't lying about your ability to hide your spirit power," Kotori said suddenly, surprising Hikaru.

'Bingo! I was right,' Hikaru thought to herself, smiling proudly.

"Of course, I wouldn't lie. I'm a pure person, after all," she replied, trying not to laugh.

"Yeah, right. Anyway, I-" Kotori was interrupted by a girl with purple hair who burst into the kitchen looking angry

"Hmm?" Hikaru cocked her head to one side, wondering why the newcomer was so upset.

"Are those my kinako bread?" the purple-haired girl demanded, unleashing a wave of energy.

Hikaru glanced down at the last piece of bread in her hand, then ate it without thinking.

"Those were yours? I didn't know. Don't worry, there's plenty of food-" she began to say before she was hit by an energy beam.

"Shit!" Hikaru cursed, dodging the blast and landing beside Kotori, who was in shock.

"I thought we sealed her. What happened?" she asked.

"Captain Tohka's anxiety is rapidly rising. Her seal is getting weaker and weaker," one of Ratatoskr's members said over the communication device.

"Shit, that's not good. We need Shido here," kotori muttered to herself.

"Tohka, you need to stop-" Kotori was cut off by another blast.

Moving quickly, Hikaru grabbed the girl and dodged the attack, causing Kotori's hairband to come loose.

Confused and upset, Kotori burst into tears. "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! ONII-CHANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!" she cried.

Seeing the danger they were all in, Hikaru decided to put an end to the chaos.

(flashback end)

"and we are here," Hikaru said with a big smile

'Of course, I didn't tell them about the bathroom detail or my plan,' she thought to herself.

Shido sighed. "You really didn't have to tell everything, just the important part," he said,

he change his glance to Tohka who was lowering her head in apology.

"Don't worry Tohka, I am gonna buy you more kinako bread later," Shido said with a warm smile.

Upon hearing that, Tohka jumped for joy. "Thank you, Shido."

"Anyway, let's eat our breakfast. I am planning to cook--" but he stopped upon finding his cuisine in shambles.

"Oh, now what?" he asked.

"I am sorry Shido, that's my fault," Tohka apologized.

Hikaru was about to take the blame but stopped upon hearing Kotori start talking.

"Don't worry guys, I can fix that," she said, clapping her hands. The whole kitchen was replaced and looked brand new.

"I don't have to be surprised anymore," Shido said, making his way to the kitchen.

"Wow, that's cool Kotori! We can now eat breakfast," Tohka said.

'How does this work?' Hikaru wondered.

After finishing their breakfast, Hikaru spoke.

"Your cooking skills are really something, boy. That breakfast was really good. Thanks," she thanked him.

"Glad to hear that. What do you plan for today?" Shido asked.

'Good one, bro. You're learning,' Kotori thought.

"I am planning to go to the library. Is there anyone close to here?" Hikaru asked.

"Actually, there is one. Want me to guide you?" Shido offered.

"That would be good. Thanks. We're gonna move after 10 minutes. Get ready," Hikaru said.

"Okay," Shido said while trying to get ready. But before that, Tohka slapped the table and stood up angrily.

"Thanks for the meal," she said and left.

"Tohka?" Shido asked.

"Go after her, boy. She seems to get the wrong idea. I am gonna be waiting in front of the door," Hikaru said.

"Ah, okay. Thanks. I am not gonna be late," Shido said while heading after Tohka.

"You better to," Hikaru said, drinking her tea.

"So, what do you think of your new life?" Kotori asked, glancing at the TV.

"Good, until now," Hikaru said while making her way outside.

"Good to hear," Kotori said.

Before Hikaru reached the door, she moved her glance to Kotori again.

"What?" Kotori asked.

"You seem to act maturely most of the time. Glad to see you still have your child side," Hikaru said with a big smile.

"What?" Kotori was shocked and blushing at what the girl said. "What do you mean?" she asked, annoyed.

"You know what I mean, ONII-san little girl," Hikaru said, closing the door behind her while giggling.

Kotori didn't know how to react. "That spirit really knows how to anger people," she said while trying to calm herself down.
