It was midnight. Ava and Geena were lying on the bed with Ava curled up in Geena's arms. Her cheeks wet with tears.
"I always thought I knew what was best for me, but I was so wrong this time." Ava slowly said.
Geena sighed lightly. "Why do you say that."
"There is something about Daniel that gives you this uneasy feeling, but I was too preoccupied with my feelings for him to notice." Ava was saying
"Or maybe you did but you chose to ignore it." Geena chimed in.
Ava smirked loudly.
"And look what that did to me."
Geena sighed weakly.
"So do you hate him now?." she asked.
Ava shook her head. "I don't"
she sighed.
"He is not a bad person. He is just going through some stuffs...so he is confused.
I am not even mad at him."
"Well i would be. Imagine Andres suddenly having a girlfriend, I would be furious." Geena said.
Ava stared at Geena.
"Do you still like Andres?." She asked.
Geena nodded.
"More than you can possibly imagine."
"But you don't show it." Ava stated.
"I try not to, and to also avoid ending up like you." Geena said.
Ava let out a weak chuckle. "I will take that as an harmless joke."
Geena chuckled too.
They both sighed out loudly.
"Why are we so unlucky with love?." Ava asked in a murmur.
"We really are and I don't know why." Geena replied.
Ava sighed again.
"I really don't want to go back to the way things was." She said.
"What does that mean?." Geena asked a bit confused.
"You know, having feelings for our close friends and hoping that they would one day reciprocate that feeling. It's sad." Ava responded.
Geena nodded slowly.
"It really is. We are both sad girls."
" Yea, that's right. We are both sad girls." Ava said aloud.
They both giggled weakly.
"But I don't want to be a sad girl forever." Ava said sadly.
"no one wants to." Geena said.
"There has to be a remedy for it."
Ava stared up at her. " Remedy for what?."
"To stop being a sad girl." Geena stated
Ava chuckled weakly. "Okay. Then let's find it."
They both nodded with little smiles on their faces.

"Alora."
"Come on. Wake up." David called as he kept tucking Alora.
Alora slowly opened her eyes, she flinched and fell off the couch when she saw who it was.
Andres laughed out from where he stood, hands crossed on his chest.
"What..what are you doing here?." Alora stuttered as she struggled to lift herself up.
"I could ask you the same thing." David said back as he helped her up to her feet.
"Umm..I think I got lost last night and Andres was kind enough to let me stay the night." She stated.
"What time did you find her?." David asked Andres.
Andres thought for a while.
"At.. around 12am."
David closed his eyes, he bit his lips.
"Alora, you left my place at around 10pm. You said you were going home, what were you doing out till around 12am. You even got lost. What were you up to?."
"Why did you let her out so late in the first place." Andres asked David hoarsely.
"I clearly told her she could spend the night at my place but she said she wanted to go home." David replied.
Andres nodded. "Yea, she said that to me too."
"Hold on. Daniel called me last night. He said something about his mom, that..that she said some mean things to you."
Andres gasped out slightly.
"You were there huh. Was that why you were crying?."
"You cried?". David asked in shock.
And that was all it took for Alora to start crying again.
Daniel and Andres stole quick glances at each other.
They both sighed.

Daniel continuously blinked his eyes open, it rested on his mother.
He jerked up.
He looked around. "Mom, what are you doing here?."
"Morning to you too." She said as she walked over to the dining room corner.
"Breakfast is ready. Come." She beckoned.
Daniel sighed. He struggled up.
"What happened."
"Pheww..alot. But we will only talk about it after we've finished eating."
Daniel walked over to the dining table.
"Hangover soup?. What for?." He asked in awe.
His mother stared sadly at him.
"Did I...no!. No!!!!." Daniel yelped out.
He slumped down to the ground, his legs stretched out with his face buried in his hands.
His mother rushed over to his side.
"Daniel. It's okay. We can always start over." She said calmly.
Daniel chuckled sadly and dryly.
"I tried. I tried to move on. I felt something and I didn't mind trying, but look where it got me."
"Back to square one." His mother chimed in.
"You've changed Daniel. You've grown and you can do this. You can fight it."
Daniel scoffed.
"What if I don't want to fight it?. What if I just want to live with it."
His mother sighed.
"And I don't see the need in fighting it when it stays fixed in here." Daniel said with a finger pointed to his heart. "I really can't fight it anymore mom." He cried out.
His mother sighed again as she drew him into a hug.
"I don't want to be here any more." He murmured in tears.

Alora and David were both in the bus headed home.
They were at the far end of the bus with David gaze fixed on Alora.
She faced him when she noticed.
"What?." She asked
David shook his head continuously."Nothing."
Alora smirked as she turns away.
"Are you alright?." David abruptly asked.
Alora turned back to him. She feigned a light smile and gave a little nod then turned away.
David sighed.
Just then, the bus stopped, and a guy boarded.
David gasped in surprise.
"Alora?." David called, still stunned.
Alora returned her gaze to him. " What?." She inquired obnoxiously
"Look, look, look." David continued to tuck her.
Alora gasped, surprised too
"Is that...?"
David gave a nod.
"Your ex-boyfriend."
