Chapter 12 - Aurora

After 3 days of treatment, I finally free! It really hurts and uncomfortable, physically and emotionally. I didn't expect to get so much problem in just one event that didn't even fit in one page.

When i heard the full story from Selena Kritone that shouldn't appear here, i remember the main villains of this novel. 'The Shadow' they literally controlled half of this world. They are my favourite plot device.

When i grow older, I want to try a grand schemes that can topple the world upside down. Sadly the MC can't do that because he's naive. That's why I used them, i wrote one arc of them destroying the Timur Empire in just a day!

Now I regretted it. The chosen one this time didn't 'dead', they can destroy us without we even noticing. Hopefully that 'guy' will notice us before its too late

Well, i can't do anything about them now, but I know the duplicator one. He's Aaron February, he is the joker in my novel. He's actually quite helpful, he is someone that hate Hiiro heroic play, then corroded his mind little by little while somehow helping him.

Hiiro can't kill him because he's 'helping' him and Aaron want it that way. So he will kill him and fall to madness

Lastly, the Count Vito Pureheart, he is the one that saved them from the Naga in the original and hide Liliya. Probably he will do the same right?

"Dream Bleaklife, from now on you are Liliya's bodyguard. Here's your father's letter. We will getting back to Pureheart's territory soon"

I admit that they are league above, but how can he say that! I know it, he is an impostor!

The scenery has turn white, snow are everywhere blanketing the trees and mountains. And the road before us are heading toward a city that despite the falling snow, the buildings still maintain their colours and the blue azure palace magnificently blend with this white world.

"Welcome to our hometown, Aurora City"

Now let revise the plan. Coming here is goes accordingly to my plan, although the reason is not what I wanted, but let's just put that aside now. What I want in this place, is what lay inside the snowy mountain beyond this city

One of the unknown goddess grave is in there, her heart that frozen in eternal ice make her continue to suffer from the coldness of time even though she was dead. Eventually the hero will save her from eternity by using her power to freeze the dragon of destruction and destroying both of them

It was a satisfying event but the eternal ice power is wasted for one-time-use there. So i can take it and help the MC to use it to the dragon later. But first, I need to sneak away from the palace

"Hey Dream, let's go sneak out in the mountain at dawn. I want to show you something"

This little girl want to sneak out with me? At the mountain? W-what a perfect chance! Hehehe…

I must say, she already done it a lot. Her step is swift, silent, and there's even a secret passage here. I'm impressed, this angel-like little girl was secretly a rebellious girl

After walking for an hour or so, I stunned at the dream like view. we arrived at a flower field that filled with glowing lilies

"Welcome to my favourite place~"

It's so beautiful, I want to stare at it all day, but then Liliya running towards it without a sign of stopping terrifies me

"Stop, don't step at it"

"Hihihi~ look okay~"

The glowing light floats all at once and fill the view

"Hihi~ if you open your mouth like that, they will enter it you know"

"Ah ump"

"Come here too, it's nice here"

Dream looked at Liliya smiling in the illuminated field, then he come closer, enter the fantasy-like landscape. His eyes glowing and Dream smiled brightly like a child, stunned her pink

Step-

"Liliya"

"Y-yes, it's nice isn't it?"

Dream pick one lily and place it in her ear, make her blushing red and whispered

"Eh…w-why.."

Fall-

Dream catch her and place her down. There is no stepped on flowers here, so it's probably safe and he's not gonna take too long enough

"Sorry"

To not waste any more time, he run towards the peak of the mountain. Without him noticing, a person stand beside Liliya and look at his back with a frown

After 1 hour of hiking, Dream finally arrived at the peak. Looking at the plain snowy ground, he started digging the snow

The place he want to enter is right below, but it takes time to dig the snow just with a hands. Hiiro in the future just kick the ground and done with it, unfortunately Dream is not that strong yet

The ice broke and he fall into the darkness

Often times when I almost graduate from high school, I heard 'what do you want to do after graduate?'. At times like that, I didn't want to answer it. But inside, what I'm thinking is just to write and finish my novel. I don't want to do anything else, because it's the only source of tranquility to me, I'm fine without anything else

Even when all of them reject me, even when the world reject my way, I just consoled myself, 'it's the right thing to do'. So i endure it but

They always said do this, do that, you are an adult, don't be lazy. I almost want to scream 'Why do they reject my source of happiness!? Why can't i do what I want!? I didn't bother anyone? Why they won't leave me alone!?'

After all of that, i go to the university, and i realize it. The cruel truth of the world, even when i get a source of happiness, i will get a source of unhappiness to balance it. The more I realize I'm happy, i will struggle more to defend it and endure the cruel arrow piercing my body

The world make me broke, that's how i wrote the ending of my path, my dream, and my hero… to become one with the 'adult' world

A light appear in the darkness, i opened my eyes. In front of me is a women with white hair, crying… what is this situation?

I baffled, her sobbing echoing in the dark ice cave with the only light is from a hole above, that's probably the one I fall from, wait, so that means she is the unknown goddess?

I became excited, I want to rush at her and asking for power, but it's improper. She's crying right now, i should console her… but how?

I walked towards her and pat her back awkwardly, I don't really know how to console a crying women so forgive me, I don't have a girlfriend even once

Uhh I got flustered, wait, no, it's bad, she's crying! But how can I not, okay! She even patted me back… eh why?

She stopped hugging me and smiled, that's when i saw her ethereal beauty clearly. Sure, this is how a goddess looks like, the pure snow eyes looking at me with pity…

i stunned, not just with her beauty. if she knows this world is my novel then doesn't that mean… she's more pitiful than me?

I sprouted what I'm thinking, after all she can read my mind

She wiped the tears that fall from Dream face, even though he don't want it, he still open his heart that has laid bare in front of the goddess and pour it out. The goddess is clearing the chaos in his heart

After a while, Dream become embarrassed and start talking about what to do next. He already gone for more than 2 hours, the spell will last for 4 hours but Liliya probably will awake faster because of her MC buff

"…you do know why I'm suffering right?"

"Yes… the eternal ice you have is a power and a curse that freeze your heart to eternity. You cannot die… unless you clash with the power to end all things"

"But, if i give you my power, my soul will die and you will become the prisoner of eternity"

Dream took a deep breath and steeled his resolve

"I know, that's the reason… i thought … that make you didn't give your power to Hiiro, even though you know what he can be"

It's not canon, i just thought that way but didn't write, and when I talk to this goddess, i think it was true. If this goddess give her power to Hiiro, maybe he can save the world without sacrificing Liliya… maybe, that just a guess

"Hehe, you probably right. I don't want to give this curse to anyone… you understand very well, the passage of time is a terrifying thing. Not even god can endure the eternity. All things must have an end…"

the goddess looked at him with a sad smile, she can't break his will with a word, after all, no one can understand a pain if they didn't experience it himself. But this man in front of her, he will experience a grief and sadness beyond a normal human can bear

She's looking at his future and remembered the true god that already dead. The responsibilities of a god, isn't something a human can handle, but this man in front of her is walking towards that path

"Haa listen well, your path will filled with an endless enduring, so i want to be your help. Remember, even though you came to a grief that you can't handle, you are not alone. I will be there, to aide your side, okay"

Dream can't say anything, his emotions is surging violently make him unable to express it well

"My name is Aurora, the former aide of the true god. From now on, i will be your aide"

Her body is integrating to particles of light, and engulfed him. Dream just stood there waiting the coldness to fade

"I couldn't even say anything… I'm not good with this…"

Dream silently sit and hugging his knees. The coldness somehow feel warm for him
