Chapter 30 - Treant Lord's Dungeon.

The Treant lord's dungeon was located 200km south-west of the center of the Yggdrasil forest, where the Elves mainly lived. The center of the forest had a colossal tree named the World Tree, which was worshipped like a god by the Elves.

I also researched about the relationship of humans and other races in the world, in case I ran into any elves. It seemed that there was a great war almost 300 years prior to my arrival, where the 4 great races were fighting for territorial gain and more profits from trade. The humans had won the war after a long time, mainly because they had the best swordsmen, and their mages and sorcerers were more ruthless about gaining power than the other races. The war was between the Humans, Elves, Dwarfs and Demons.

Yeah, it seemed like the Demons in Arcadia weren't like the Demons from old myths from earth. They were just another intelligent race of humanoid creatures. The only thing differentiating them from humans were their horns and eyes. They had small horns on their heads and their eyes were primarily crimson red.

'Today's the day, huh...', I sighed before heading off to the Treant Lord's dungeon. I had gotten the custom made circular saw blades and Anna had also completed the new armor she was working on.

[Answer: A coat Enchanted by an apprentice Runesmith. Even if the runesmith had no prior experience, they have done an excellent job at making their first ever magic armor.

Effects: Heat Resistance; Cold Resistance; Heightens the wearer's senses, Lightweight effect; Heightens Agility of the wearer.]

It was truly an amazing set of armor. It looked like a regular black-colored mage's robes, but the enchantments were truly amazing.

She demanded that I have one more night of sex with her before going to the dungeon, so I obliged and did what had to be done. I didn't regret it.

I had bought a healthy-looking, dark-brown horse for 3 gold coins from a recommended shop. I rode the horse at full speed towards my destination. The horse didn't seem to get tired easily, It was because it knew how to use mana to recover from fatigue quickly and go even faster than the fastest horses from earth. Yup, even the animals in the world of Arcadia knew how to use mana for their own benefit.

'If I was a real Main Character of a Real isekai novel, a carraige would get attacked by either monsters or bandits and I would rescue everyone from there and probably add 1 more innocent girl to my harem. But alas... I'm not a main character of some dumb isekai novel...', I pondered, trying to ease my boredom during the ride.

{BTW, for anyone wondering how I knew how to ride a horse, I had asked the Guide about it and it took 0 FP for it.}

I arrived at the dungeon's gate after about 5 hours of constant riding. The horse didn't even seem that tired. 'What an amazing horse...', I thought to myself. I rewarded the horse with some fruits and some kind of horse food I had brought, even though it looked like the horse really didn't care at all about it.

I just left him (the horse) outside the dungeon's entrance and tied the rope attached to it's saddle to a firm-looking tree.

I got a bit worried for it's safety, so I wanted to do something about it, but strangely, he didn't look bothered at all, so I decided to ignore my worries.

The entrance of the dungeon was made of wood and vines, creepers, and many different types of climber-plants were growing on it, making the dark wood beneath it all barely visible.

I entered the dungeon and prepared the circular saws. I over-charged the 'psychokinesis' spell before casting another overcharged, inverted 'dark press' spell.

After about a minute of casting, the 4 metal saws started floating in the air and slowly made an arc around me, with me being in the center of the arc. Currently, 4 light objects was the limit of my psychokinetic magic. I could get better at it after reaching higher levels of knowledge and getting more mana circles.

I knew I had to face 2 boss monsters before I reached the lake, and prepared hard for it, making plans and back-up plans in my head for 2 weeks.

Maintaining more than 2 overcharged spells (Dark press and psychokinesis) was too much for me to handle then, so I couldn't cast any defensive magic onto myself. I was confident that Anna's armor would defend me anyway, so I wasn't very concerned.

Within 30 minutes of entering the dungeon, I came across my first enemies. They were stationary plants. Well, I say plants, but they are more like predators. The huge red flowers on their heads have teeth bigger and sharper than sharks, and they can radiate poison smoke.

There were 5 of them.

The poison didn't really affect me, cause I'm an Arch-Human, but the physical attacks would be tough.

The plants noticed me as soon as I got close to the little opening they were in and released a ton of green smoke, presumably poison.

I ignored the poison and shot 3 of my circular saws at them with bullet-like speed. From what I could see in the green fog, one of them was severed by one of the circular saws. The other 2 had parried my attack by sacrificing some of their branches and a part of their stem.

But the attack was only 50% done. I pulled the saws back at the same speed, this time accurately chopping the other 4 plants in one go.

I was satisfied.

This continued for a while, as I came across many more of this kind of plant.

When I reached even deeper, some plants could even shoot some kind of bullet at me. It was probably some of it's unfermented seeds. Thankfully, the heightened senses enchantment on my armor along with the agility enchantment, helped me dodge they quite effectively.

Also, I fought a lot of insect-type monsters on the way too. They were mostly giant grass-hoppers and some kinds of disgusting looking larvae too. I knew that there was one more kind of insect even deeper in that dungeon.

I would face it after I face the first boss of the dungeon.
