Chapter 16 - Begging is bad.

I found the road and sat down. I had a wooden plank, that I crafted by chopping a log with the help of the "Wind Blade and Pebble Bullet" combo.

I had written "Please Donate some clothes to this lowly beggar. It would mean a lot.", on the plank.

'Damnit, this sucks! why do I do these things to myself?! FUCK!', the thoughts of embarrassment didn't leave my mind at all.

Within 2 hours, I saw 13 carts and carriages going to and from the city's direction. But none of them waited to even notice me.

I waited and waited. This really tested my patience. Thankfully, playing an unholy amount of difficult souls-likes, I had more than enough patience.

Finally, after 2 hours of just sitting and waiting, a carriage stopped in front of me.

It looked rather expensive for just a merchant's carriage that I had been seeing up until now.

The carriage was made of something resembling the 'Dark Oak' wood from Minecraft. It had patterns of flowers and flowing lines all around it, made with something yellow and lustrous. It had 4 windows, 2 on each side, and the whole carriage was pulled by 2 brown, muscular-looking horses, controlled by a lone driver.

Within a few seconds, the door facing me opened up, revealing the interior, or at least what I could see. I was very vigilant about the whole thing. After all, I could get kidnapped and sold off to some shady slave market...

Little did I know that what I had anticipated would've actually happened.

The instant the door opened, I could smell something very sweet. "Odd... This smells awfully like... SLEEP MEDICINE!!!!!!!", I thought to myself, after I deduced what had happened.

Thanks to my Arch-Human body, I was completely resistant to low level poisons and status ailments that effected the soul. I was completely fine, but pretended to fall asleep. I was waiting for them to pick me up, where I could Over-Charge a single electrocute spell, killing them all in one go.

I didn't have the slightest problem or discomfort at the thought of murder. It was to protect myself, so anything goes. If they did something questionable to me, I would make them pay.

3 men came out of the carriage, picking me up and quickly racing inside the carriage again.

The carriage started moving again, as if nothing had happened.

"hehehe, we got a nice one today!"

"Yeah! Look at this bastard's face!"

"And that hair! ooooh! All the noble degenerates will pay a fortune to get him in their hand!"

The people inside the carriage started talking. All of them were men. All of them in their late 30s to early 40s.

There were the only 3 men that came out of the carriage, inside the carriage.

I started to charge my Electrocute spell using the mana from both my circles. Within a minute, the spell was completely Over-charged and at max output. But I didn't fire the spell yet. I wanted some Intelligence from these fools.

"Damn! picking up men is so much more difficult than women these days!"

"yeah, handsome-looking men are quite rare after all... all the commoner men have to either work in the mines, or become an adventurer, if you're talented..."

"haha! but that only makes them even more valuable for us!"

"Yeah! haha!"

I could listen to them talk for more time, but I decided to end there farce quickly.

"Electrocute.", My voice said out loud, Sacring the absolute shit out of the passengers.

*KRRRAAAACKKK* *AAAARRRGHHHHHHHHHH!!!*

The men howled in pain, before turning charred. Their bodies had dried up. It was quite ugly to look at, but it didn't even faze me. I had seen far more gore coming out of myself in my life.

The carriage shook violently. The horses were loud, and the driver was confused and panicking. He didn't know what was going on inside the carriage to make such a loud noise.

I didn't give him a chance to get out of the confusion. The instant the driver opened the door, a magic sigil was the first and last thing he saw.

"Electrocute."

I made sure this time that the spell wasn't too strong. I needed the clothes after all...

The driver fell to the ground. He wasn't dead yet. Just unconscious. I planned to interrogate him about his place of employment. I could loot them for some quick money.

*******

After 5 minutes, the driver woke up. He immediately tried to scream, but couldn't. He had a piece of burnt leather covering his mouth. It smelled horrible enough to repel even pigs.

He was extremely confused and scared. He was completely naked, tied to a pole inside the carriage with some kind of rope created with plants.

When the man calmed down a little, he finally recognized the presence of a man sitting in front of him, wearing his clothes.

And behind him, were 3 corpses, burnt to a crisp. He recognized the charred clothes the corpses wore. It was his friend's.

The driver's mind fell into despair. Tears were falling down his cheeks non-stop. His expression was of disbelief and denial. He wasn't prepared for death.

"Afraid?", Said the black-haired, handsome man sitting in front of him. He had a hollow look on his face, like he was just looking at some random stone on the ground. He had an extremely deep voice, sending shivers down the driver's spine.

"If you don't want that happening to you, you'll answer my questions without hesitation. Don't even think about lying. I can detect lies with magic.", said the man.
