The only person I can think of is Jac.
I appeared outside Jac's office a while later, my eyes are now in tears. If there is something wrong with Cole then I don't think I will be able to move on and will never forgive myself.
I knocked on the door and waited. The door opened and Jac stood before me.
"What happened?" Jac asked while seeing Cole sobbing and my watery eyes.
"It's Cole, he won't stop crying," I explained as a tear threatened to fall from my eye.
"You'd better come in," Jac said and we stepped into her office to take a seat.
"How long has he been crying for?"
"An hour," I replied.
"What caused his crying?"
"Well.........," I hesitated.
"Go on," Jac encouraged me to tell her what had happened.
"He had some coke to drink and after a while he was hyper going into a fit of giggles. I told him he couldn't drink coke again until he was a man,"
"Can I take a look at him?"
"Of course," I tried to hand Cole over to Jac but Cole wasn't having any of it.
"Cole I'm not leaving you, Jac just wants to give you a check to see if there's anything wrong," I said softly and tried to put him in Jac's arms but Cole wouldn't allow it, he only sobbed more.
"I guess I'll have a look while you are holding him," Jac began checking Cole in my arms.
"I'm not a doctor but there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with Cole," Jac said after a few minutes of checking Cole for any signs of trouble.
"Then why won't he stop crying?" I asked with worry.
"I don't know, maybe apologising to him will help," Jac suggested.
"Apologising for what?" I asked in confusion. What do I need to apologise for? I haven't done anything to upset Cole have I?
"Apologise for earlier," Jac said, now I understand.
"Cole," I said softly and Cole looked up at me.
"I'm sorry I said you couldn't have anymore of that fizzy drink, I didn't know how much you liked it, you can have more if you want," I apologised and Cole immediately stopped sobbing.
"That's what was wrong wasn't it, you wanted me to say I was sorry and didn't mean it didn't you?" I asked Cole.
"Touch my hand if that's true," I held my hand out to him, Cole immediately touched my hand.
"Good, let's get you home," I gave a sigh of relief to know Cole was ok.
"Jac I'm sorry to have wasted your time," I apologised to Jac.
"It's ok, better to be safe then sorry," Jac said before handing me a card with the contact details of a doctor in case anything serious happened.
I took the card and nodded my head in agreement before I ran home. I'm not sure how I found my way to Jac and back home when I don't even know this area. I guess I had help from my Vampire instincts.
That trip to see Jac was quite strange now that I think about it. Jac was on edge the whole time, as though she was afraid of something just like the last time we met when I signed my marriage contract. I'll have to ask her if she's ok when I see her again.
"Well that was a waste of time wasn't it?" I asked Cole. Not to mention embarrassing.
Cole only smiled at me and his blue eyes sparkled as I sat down on the couch with him on my lap. Cole snuggled into my chest and soon fell asleep. I laid Cole on the couch gently so he didn't wake and put cushions around him so he wouldn't fall off. He looks really cute asleep and peaceful. Hopefully Cole won't realise he isn't in my arms and will be asleep for a few hours.
It just wasn't my day because only half an hour later, I heard sobbing from Cole, he was now awake and had his arms held out for me to hold him.
"Can't you stay on the couch for a bit?" I asked Cole with hopeful eyes but he continued sobbing.
"I guess that means no," I said quietly. I sighed and pulled Cole into my arms. I heard no more sobbing. He fell asleep immediately, this is getting pretty ridiculous. Why does he want to be in my arms all day? If he has his way, he'll be in my arms all night too but I won't let it get that far. How will I sleep with him in my arms? I'll be too worried to sleep in case I squish him or something.
2 hours later. Cole stirred from his sleep and began sobbing.
"What's wrong babe?" I asked with concern.
"Are you hungry?" I asked, Cole put his hand in mine which meant 'yes'.
"Ok let's get you something to eat," I said and walked to the kitchen. I placed Cole in his high chair and looked in the refrigerator. I found some already made Spaghetti Bolognese. I took it out and emptied it into a bowl, then put it in the microwave for 2 minutes. I took out two forks and a minute later we were seated at the dining table. I dug into the dish with a fork and fed Cole as well with the other fork. After, we drank some blood and I cleared up.
"What shall we do now?" I asked in a bored voice.
"This is all your fault, you woke up so early," I said to Cole with a glare which made him sob.
"I'm sorry, it's not your fault," I apologised to stop the waterworks.
"How about we go to the park," I suggested, Cole put his tiny hand on mine in agreement. I walked to the front door and opened it, I looked at the weather, it's warm and dry. I put on a thin black jacket and looked for a jacket for Cole, I found a cute little blue denim Jacket in his wardrobe. When I put it on Cole, he looked adorable.
"Awww," I cooed and pinched his cheek gently, Cole giggled.
I stepped out the house with Cole on my hip and locked the door behind me. That's when I realised we were in a neighbourhood I didn't recognise so I decided just to go for a small walk around the corner. I took a look at the house from the outside where it looked huge just like the houses beside it. I memorized the door number which was 15 and began walking down the road with Cole in my arms.
When we reached the corner, a gang of human teenage boys appeared. When they saw me, they wolf whistled at me and made comments that I don't want to repeat. I ignored them and walked as fast as I could away from them. When they disappeared from view, I gave a sigh of relief.
After a few more minutes of walking, I decided to head back home while Cole was surprisingly quiet.
"Are you ok Cole?" I asked. He put his hand in mine to show he was fine.
"Good," I said and we soon reached home. I took off our Jackets and sat on the couch, glad to be home.
"I won't try that again until you change back to a man," I said and Cole smiled in agreement. Then I made a start on dinner of rice and lamb casserole.
After dinner, I decided we should have an early night after the day we'd had. When Cole fell asleep next to me, I kissed his cheek.
"I love you, goodnight," I said sleepily. Then I welcomed sleep with open arms because I was exhausted, it's tiring looking after a baby who also happens to be my husband.
