A New Day.
The Granian Sun started to rise above the clouds, casting out the darkness brought by the night. With it came its warmth and bright light, dispelling all indefinite blackness, and the fear that came with it was no more. The planet's nocturnal creatures retreated to their dens, holes, nests, houses, and other abodes, while the diurnal creatures woke up for another day. For some, it was another day to live and celebrate the gift of life. For others, it was their last day alive.
A few knew they were going to die, but others didn't realize that today would be the last day they'd ever wake up. For another group, it was a day to survive in this vicious environment with unknown dangers lurking among them. One of those people in that group was Skyler, a human with the Gifted ability that allows her to turn any part of her body into that of a beast.
