Skyler, a human being with the body-altered Gifted ability, had currently consumed energy from one of Earth's beastly creatures with a crystal within it. Unlike the groundhog beast, the hog beast's immense energy coursing through its body somehow transferred into her own. The power coursing through her veins gave her skin a faint glow, almost fooling Lord Grania into thinking she unlocked her Eneraflux.
Once Grim explained the concept to the Emperor and Lord Grania, a decision was made to stop Skyler from fighting the beast. However, the woman was too focused on the beast, her mind and body itching to kill the creature as quickly and painfully as she possibly could.
