Jim led Ace inside a clear white room where he was to get his serum. The room was decorated with white marble tiles, white tiled walls, and circular light bulbs that shone brightly.
In the center of the room was a white massage bed with black constraining bands at either end.
Next to the bed was a woman dressed in full-on white clothes. In her hand was a medium-sized syringe that she was going to use to extract a sample of his blood.
Ace gulped in fear, wondering if they would find out about his little secret.
"Good day, young man. Please lie down so we can get this process over with." The woman spoke as she flicked the syringe twice.
"It's alright. I don't need a serum anyway. I'll be just fine." He said, trying to get out of going through the entire process.
The lady, who had an earpiece in her ear, spoke into it to someone saying, "We've got a Code Green. Student's afraid of needles."
"What!! I'm not afraid. I just don't need a serum." Ace complained.
The doors behind him opened and in came two large men dressed in the same white attire as the women.
They gently grabbed him by his arms and strapped him on the massage bed. Ace tried squirming and kicking but it was too late.
"Please, young man." The woman said. "Don't make it hard for both of us."
"Wait. You don't understand." Ace tried to reason. "I don't need a serum. I'm perfectly....."
The nurse injected Ace and drew out a sample of blood. She made constant eye contact with him while she did so and wondered why he was quiet all of a sudden.
"See. It wasn't so bad. Was it?" She asked.
The woman pulled out the needle and poured Ace's blood into a small test tube. "I'll be back with the results. Don't scream." She giggled.
Ace was left in the room and wondered what was going to happen. If they found out about his unfortunate situation, he worried that they'd probably turn him into a test subject and pester him on how he attained those skills and who the people that gave them to him were.
'System. Is there anything that can be done about this?' He asked but got no response from the system, so he sat back and just hoped they didn't find out about his blood system.
A few minutes passed and the lady returned with a sheet of paper and a silver container. With her were the same two large guys. The three of them had face masks on and while the lady opened the container, the two men went ahead and held Ace by both arms.
"Ace Underwood." She read from the sheet of paper. " People have been looking for you, young man. Luckily we had your records in our system. Says here you're eighteen, lost both parents when you were younger, and suffered from asthma? Strange, your new records say you're in perfect physical and medical condition." She whispered.
"Alright then. You're blood group A, unlucky you. So we'll administer/conduct the serum into your system. Don't scream again!" She joked but the boy didn't show any reaction. " Tough crowd."
She opened the container slowly as a cloud of dry ice flowed out. Inside the container was another rectangular slip.
The slip had a long test tube in it and inside the test tube was a golden, glowing liquid that resembled the same stuff in modern lava lamps.
The lady carefully pulled out the test tube and shook it gently. "Bring the device, please." She said to one of the large guys.
They returned with a round machine that had a lot of knobs, flips, and switches on it and two, thin pipes.
The lady turned the machine on and poured the serum into it. She then injected the two pipes into Ace's arms and turned the machine on.
"Try and be as calm as possible. We haven't got that many blood group A people alive since most are bullied into doing the unthinkable. So we don't really know how this experiment will go on for you." She spoke to Ace while going in to inject the golden liquid into his arms.
"Wait, WHAT?" Ace asked in shock. "IF YOU DON'T KNOW THEN DON'T DO IT...." The lady turned the machine on, sending the golden liquid into his system.
As soon as it entered him, his body started to jerk seriously as his veins swole. The two large guys beside the lady pinned Ace's body in his place but he was proving to be a challenge for them.
[Ding]
[A foreign substance has been injected into your system.]
[Damage Critical.]
[Defense mechanisms will be activated.]
"NO NO. DON'T ACTIVATE!" He shouted.
The nurse and the men were confused by his sudden outburst so they figured it could be a reaction from the serum.
[Extraction process in progress. In order for this to happen, your body will be put to rest until the process is completed.]
'WAIT. SYSTEM WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?' Ace's eyes slowly closed while he felt a calming sensation go through his body.
Soon, his body came to a complete resting mood, and seeing that the he stopped from moving suddenly, the two large men reduced the grip they had on him.
"Looks like he passed out. We'll have to wait till the morning and start the testing phase." The lady spoke. "Inform Jim that we're done. He'll take it on from here."
--------------------
[Granian Main Spaceship.]
"Grand Master. The gas has been prepared and we're ready to commence. Awaiting your orders."
"Begin now. Let's get this done as soon as we can." The Grand Master replied.
A few minutes passed since the smaller Granian ships started to slowly move to either side of the planet. The Grand Master watched as the ships were set in place.
When they were ready, each of the ships lowered their cannons and fired red gas into the Earth's atmosphere.
The gas slowly engulfed the entire planet, changing its blue hue into a deep, red one.
The gas was fired for a whole full hour since, the Grand Master wanted it to completely surround the Earth's atmosphere.
"End the process now." He said, causing the whole process to come to a halt.
"Now what, Grand Master? What do you hope to achieve from this?" One of the Generals asked.
"That subject is out there with our power. If he gets to learn of its full power and unlock all that he has to offer, he'll become too much of a threat for us to handle. Trust me. We're not leaving this planet without that subject."
"Isn't what we're doing too harsh, Grand Master?"
"Not at all. Remember, the longer he's with his kind, the more he'll be indoctrinated into thinking we're bad. And don't worry. According to what I was told earlier, we've got his only family member in our grasp. He'll be back for her. We'll just have to be ready for him."
"I just pray we'll still have control over him. That system in an intelligent creature like him can cause a lot of damage to our plans."
