[Still ArkVille Military Base.]
[State: Empty.]
The entire base was empty without a single soul in it. Well, there was but one person left, and that was none other than General Jack, the human who was currently infected by the red men. The General was still locked up in an observation room where he was being observed daily, but for now, no scientist was around to keep tabs on his condition.
Being all alone and bored made him do some weird things like sing old songs, tell himself stories and work out a little.
However, his humanity would disappear for a quick second, making him act out like a vicious, wild zombie. The 'episodes' became more frequent and got worse with each passing day, almost bringing the General to tears.
Even though he hated this condition, he did enjoy his larger, stronger, and more powerful body that mutated each day, making him stronger without doing anything. He'd try meditation sequences to keep his mind stable, but not even chanting could do anything to reverse the effects of the infection.
Eventually, Jack lost hope and just accepted what he was and who he would become, that is if the scientists came up with a cure or if they put a bullet through his head. 'What…to do…" He said while pacing across the room. To try and help with boredom, the scientists left a screen outside the room but it played the same depressing videos of the Granians attacking, the red men, and how Ace had a bounty on his head.
"I…wish…I was not sick…" He sobbed with his hands on his face as tears rolled down his rough, red, mutated flesh. As this was going on, a drop of a thick, golden red substance fell on his hand. Jack looked at it closely and noticed how the drop seemed to be…alive.
'What the…"
Loud bangs came from the rooftops as more of the golden red substances dropped on Jack. He quickly sprung to his feet and looked up the small ventilator where the stuff came from. For a long, awkward moment, the room became silent as Jack's gaze focused on the ventilators. Five minutes passed and nothing happened so he lost interest and starred at the drops again.
However, they all started to gather themselves into one, big drop as they mysteriously dragged themselves back into the vent.
*RYAAAHH*
A wide, gapping mouth filled with long, curved teeth and a disgustingly long tongue sprung out from the roof with an eardrum bursting roar. More of the golden red liquids wrapped themselves around Jack and pushed his body to the ceiling as a blood mutants with golden red skin screamed in Jack's face.
The blood mutant was taller, stronger and looked more deadly than Cherry and Ace…combined. The creature stood at the same level as Jack as it said with its deep, multiple voiced tone, "Remember me, old friend."
Jack's memory was jogged to the time when he had his first encounter with this same being a while ago. Fear took over his senses as he dreaded what this strange thing was going to do to him.
"I told you to find the person who did this to me." The blood mutant spoke. "But you failed me and now look at you…. YOU'RE TURNING INTO THOSE BLATED RED CREATURES."
"Get…away from…ME…" Jack had another episode that made him loose all his human senses. He managed to get one of his hands free and grabbed the blood mutant's head. He crushed it with his monstrous strength while he got his other hand unstuck.
The blood mutant tried overpowering Jack, but the infected general's power was a little too much for him. Once both of Jack's arms were freed, he clapped the blood mutant's head with the powerful force of his hands. Dazed and slightly dizzy, the blood mutant took a few steps back as it tried to recollect its thoughts.
Before it did, Jack sprung for it with his palms folded into fists. He delivered a powerful punch to the blood mutant's gut, causing it to spit out drops of blood…human blood to be more specific. Jack didn't stop there as he followed with another punch to the blood mutant's head.
The blood mutant fell to the ground, but then, golden red substances spewed out from its body as they wrapped Jacks' arms together. It then made more on its back and used them to support it off the ground.
Jack tried getting free but the blood mutant was already on its feet and attacked with two claw stripes at his chest. Blood spilled across the floor and walls as Jack roared in agony. If one was to watch the fight, it would remind them of the Hulk versing a weird, golden form of Carnage. These two titans battled each other but the blood mutant was winning.
With his hands tied and his chest bleeding uncontrollably, Jack was losing the fight and soon, he fell to the ground as he suffered from anemia. His vision grew blurry while the rest of his body grew limp and became weaker. "Poor Jack," The blood mutant spoke. "It's a shame you got infected."
The blood mutant stretched its arm across the room, through the bars all the way to a glass cabinet filled with serums that were labelled. It then grabbed a few of them and poured all into Jack's mouth without even testing to see what his blood type was. "Drink up, Jack." The blood mutant screeched. "DRINK UP AND GROW STRONGER."
Jack's body shook violently as foam spewed from his mouth. His skin changed into different colors while his body shrank, swelled, bulged, melted, hardened, softened, and finally turned back to its original human form. Jack's condition was cured for a quick second, but he was too weak to celebrate this.
The blood mutant host started to deform back into his natural, human form while he leaned over and run his fingers through Jack's naked body. "Don't worry." He said with his young, grieved voice as his eyes staid glued on the screen with Ace's picture on. "We'll find the boy responsible for this."
