Listening to all Dorian had to say made me feel extremely guilty. I mean, I was savage and uncaring towards him when he was in Mallory but the man was kind enough to offer me a room in his pack-house.
Even though I knew that he could have done better. It doesn't matter because he is a better man than I am.
I went to the room given to me and I couldn't be more appreciative. It was big and comfy. Dorian was even cool enough to allocate some maids and guards for my personal use.
He didn't get that luxury when he came to Mallory.
I was ushered to the dinner table where I had dinner with only Malcolm.
He seemed surprised just as I was to see the table empty with only the two of us there. I asked the maids and their response stunned me. I was told that Dorian was having his meal in his room with Melody and the kids were eating in their rooms too.
I wonder why he chose to do that when arrangements had been made that we would all have dinner together.
