“ Follow you to where sir? “ I asked him, confused, as to where he wanted us to go. The arrogant man didn't answer me, rather he made his way out of the office and I had to follow him.
We got into the elevator together and damn from the minute we stepped into the elevator till we came out of it I was feeling claustrophobic, Liam had a kind of suffocating aura.
We got down the elevator and walked to the exit door of the company. Through the corner of my eyes, I could see beautiful models who were passing stop to ogle Liam after which when they saw me following him they began glaring at me and giving me nasty looks.
I rolled my eyes at them before finally exiting the company building with Liam. He walked to the car while I followed him closely. Reaching his car he got into the driver's side still without saying a word and I wanted to open the door to the back seat.
Not wanting to sit beside him in the front passenger seat, scared that he might chase me to the back seat, telling me that we ain't equals. But when I reached out to open the backseat door he exclaimed again looking displeased at me.
“ Are you that dumb? Get into the front seat!! “ He exclaimed. Is there a time this man is happy? I thought to myself and rolled my eyes when I opened the front seat door before entering the seat.
“ What? Did you just roll your eyes at me? “ He asked, unhappy with his brows now creased. Shit! I just made the terrible mistake that angered him the most.
“ What!? Of course no sir how could I ever dare do that, I just rolled my eyes because one of my eyelashes was touching at my eyeballs and it was affecting my sight “ I lied as I rubbed my eyes with my fingers trying to make the lie look real as I answered him with the sweetest voice I could use at that moment and forced a smile onto my face.
“ You are my assistant, not a slave, you are supposed to walk beside me not behind me even when we sit you are supposed to sit beside me got it? “ he asked.
“ Crystal clear sir, “ I said.
“ Good, “ he said as he started the car and drove off heading to God knows where.

Ten minutes later we arrived at our city's best clothing and textile designing company which was none other than Grey Textile and design company.
I had fantasies of coming to shop here one day when I become very rich and here I am but it's a pity that I'm not yet rich though, I thought to myself as I marveled at the building.
“ It's Grey Textiles and design. I heard the Ceo is very handsome “ I said because I was overly excited but when I turned to look at Liam who was glaring at me I instantly regretted saying it. What the fuck is wrong with me!!, I screamed at myself inwardly.
“ I'm sorry sir that came out wrong, I was caught in the moment. I apologize “ I said.
“ It's alright but behave yourself when we get in there and don't get carried away because as my assistant you are supposed to act classy and be conversant with everything concerning fashion and modeling, “ He said and parked his car at the parking lot.
“ But sir I'm sorry to ask but I'm just curious and as you're assistant anything that concerns you and work is my business, so why are we here? Are we here to shop for your girlfriend? “ I asked, talking fast that I didn't know when the last question slipped out of my mouth.
I instantly regretted it and squinted my eyes waiting to hear another scolding but instead, the car was silent, and when I opened my eyes and raised my head to see why, I was surprised to see a smirk on Liam’s face.
“ What? Are you jealous? “ He asked and then got down from the car. I sat there perplexed as to why on earth he'll ask me such a question. I scurried over to walk beside him when I saw him walking into the company building.
I was looking around when my phone began to ring. I was holding my phone so I turned it to check and saw that it was Lucas calling, but then I bumped into something hard and my phone fell due to that.
“ I'm sorry “ the baritone voice was first to say and when we made eye contact I could see that the breath of the young handsome man whom I bumped into hitched and his gaze lingered on me for a while before he bent down to help me pick my phone which fell down.
Awn! What a kind gentleman. I couldn't help but think why I had just been having encounters with handsome men since Lucas left my life. First,Henry, then Liam, now this man but of each three Liam was the most drop-dead gorgeous of them all.
The man’s hands were still gripping my phone firmly even though his hands were already stretched. I grabbed the phone to collect but his grip on it was still strong.
“ Ahem!! “ The sound of Liam clearing his throat made the staring contest between the man and me come to an end because the man walked to Liam and shook hands with him when he saw Liam and that confused me.
“ Mr. Grey, “ Liam said as he shook hands with the man whom I now had an idea that may be the CEO of this company but having seen him I can't help but feel that people were exaggerating about him being very handsome.
Mr Grey is very tall with dark hair, a pointy nose, and full lips unlike Liam who had dark brown hair, sharp point nose, a perfectly shaped oval face and captivating amber eyes perfectly suiting his broad shoulder and tall height. Liam was a good example of perfect looks and perfect body.
Wait, why on earth am I comparing the two of them!!, I thought to myself and struggled not to facepalm, in front of the two men.
“ Oh come on! We are business partners now so it's also nice if we address ourselves by our name to create a friendly working atmosphere. On that note call me Silver from now on “ Mr. Silver said to Liam who was surprised and masked it away but not fast enough for me not to notice.
“ Alright Silver, let me introduce you to my assistant Maya “ Liam said as he pointed at me and gestured for me to come closer to them.
“ Maya, this is our business partner Mr. Silver Grey the CEO of this company, “ He said, smiling genuinely this time around.
“ We hope to work and collaborate well with your company now and in many more years to come, Sir, “ I said and extended my hands for a handshake which Mr. Silver didn’t hesitate to shake me after which he just nodded his head at me.
“ Alright it was nice meeting you, we have to go now, we came to shop, “ Liam said after which we said our goodbyes to Mr. Silver and proceeded to the boutique section of the big company.

When we stepped into the boutique, I was welcomed by a heavenly fragrance. I would be lying if I said this boutique doesn't smell nice.
Since we left Mr silver Liam didn’t even spare me a glance nor did he talk to me or scold me for being clumsy earlier. It was like he was angry at me but didn’t wanna say it.
A slender blondie who from her dress sense I knew was a stylist came over to meet us immediately after she saw us come in.
“ Hey Liam, I see you have come to see me after all this while, “ She said and looked at Liam with a serious face which Liam did the same but after a few seconds, the both of them busted out laughing.
This was the first time I had seen him laughing and he looked absolutely cute and adorable as he did so. I wish he knew how cute he looks whenever he laughs so that he’ll always be smiling and laughing.
“ Eve, I’ve been busy, pardon me. At least we still get to talk on the phone. “ He answered her, and I couldn’t believe my boss could be this nice and lively. I guess he's only like this with those very close and dear to his heart. I was also curious as to what the relationship between these two is.
“ So who’s this beauty you came with today, is she the one? I must confess she is more beautiful than your last girlfriend “ The blonde whom I just heard the name Eve said as she walked over to me with a smile on her face.
“ She’s not my girlfriend Eve, she's Maya my new assistant, so please mind what you say to me in front of her “ Liam whined.
“ Alright fine, I should pack up the kind of styles you usually like, right? “ Eve asked Liam who then nodded in confirmation.
Wait! We came here to shop for clothes for me and not his girlfriend? But I don’t have money!!
“ Maya I hope you know how to work with heels? “ Eve asked but it didn’t sound like a question rather it sounded like a warning.
Luckily I know how to to walk in any length of heels at all, when I was still friends with Chloe and she gave me one of her six-inch heels to wear to our end-of-year party at the flower shop she was surprised when I walked comfortably in them, and said I was born to wear high heels.
“ Yes ma’am “ I answered her, she laughed and patted my shoulders lightly.
“ Call me Eve, I might even be your age mate, “ She said and smiled after that she left to go bring what Liam asked for. She seemed to be the jovial type and she had a calm demeanor.
Immediately I was sure she was out of our sight. I rushed to Liam sitting with his legs crossed and cleared my throat to gain his attention which was on his phone he was typing a message. Luckily it worked because he raised his head to look at me.
“ Sir I don’t have money to afford this kind of luxurious clothing, please I don’t want to be indebted to you, “ I said in a low voice so just the two of us would be the to hear.
“ Just take it as one of the advantages of being my assistant, I’m doing this for you out of my magnanimity. Besides you’ll attend a lot of functions and meeting with me so I can’t let you look out of fashion “ He said and resumed typing on his phone which simply meant that he was done talking to me.
Well it’s good he would be stocking my wardrobe for me, I needed clothes anyway.
“ Okay, I’m back! “ Eve announced as she walked towards us with two younger girls carrying 6 shopping bags each making it a total of twelve and they dropped it in front of me.
“ Thanks, Eve I… “ I wanted to continue talking but was interrupted by Liam.
“ Pick another suitable dress that she'll wear now. I want her out of that dress that she’s putting on now. Make her look how my assistant should look “ Liam instructed with a straight face and Eve looked at him surprised like she was in deep thought but smiled after a moment.
“ Alright Maya let’s go so I can transform you, “ She said cheerfully and half dragged me away from where I stood beside Liam but while we were going she whispered something to me that made me immediately stop.
