I guess he could sense my disobedience but nothing prepared me for his next words.

"No", I refused clenching my jaw tightly. Gasps echoed round the room but I was firmly set on my decision.

He waved his hand toward the guard. The guard bowed in response before walking out of the room.
Lorenzo continued eating his food. In a matter of a few minutes, I heard a clanging of chains.
The sound scared me more than I cared to admit. My mind conjured up different scenarios which left me writhing in fear.
Each clang of the chain fueled my fear.
But nothing could ever prepare me for what Lorenzo had in store for me.
"Leave", He said without looking at anyone specifically but of course everyone left except his right hand man and well…me.
