“Bloody hell! That damn vampire just had to come and ruin things.” He sighs. “Well, that is typical of that lot.” He gets to his feet and fixes the table and chair. “To be expected I guess.” He looks over to Keiko who has finally lowered her hand but hasn’t otherwise moved from her spot. He looks down awkwardly, losing all his previous gusto now that it’s just the two of them. Even after these few months interacting, he still has no idea how to properly speak with her on a more personal level unless it’s to give an order. Though he usually comes off as arrogantly demanding, which leads her to shut down and the distance between them grows that much wider. Despite all he said, while he stands by his beliefs, he desperately wants to reconnect with her and talk again.
“Why do you hate me so much?” His thoughts are harshly interrupted by her painful question.
Nic is genuinely stunned by her words. “Hate you? Keiko, I could never hate you. I love you.”
