“Well, I’m not quite sure what happened since you were oddly vague, but she seems fine overall, just a bit dehydrated. I gave her a pouch of blood and she fell right to sleep after. So, I think a good rest is in order, and then I’d suggest taking her home for the night. You two live together, right? She mentioned it when I was taking her history and details of the event.”
The doctor addresses Kei, who sits anxiously in the visitor’s chair. “Yes, that’s right. I had planned to insist we go home anyway, so if it’s your professional opinion, then I’ll definitely make sure she does.”
“Very good.” The doctor hesitates for a moment, and then finally asks, “So, would you perhaps be willing to explain exactly what happened? It must have been quite an event if even Professor Miller got involved.”
“Um...if Nadia didn’t want to explain further, I think I should follow her lead and respect her wishes. I’m not sure it’d make sense to you anyway. I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful Doctor.”
