“Pa. Pa.” The toddler babbles this as he runs into Elliot’s open arms. “Pa. Home. Me. Miss.”
“Yes, I’m home buddy. I missed you too. So, so much!” He lifts him and hugs him tightly. The boy laughs and returns his embrace tenderly. “Have you been a good boy for Bryant, Lou?”
Keiko recalls Elliot having mentioned Lou previously and she’d asked who that was. She now has her answer. She watches the two interact, their love clearly true and engrossing. “Elliot?”
Elliot turns to Keiko, looking on nervously. He walks closer to her, Lou in tow, and faces her. “Kei, this is Lou. He’s my only child and my most precious treasure. Lou, can you say hello?”
“Heh Wo…,” he replies bashfully. He turns his face towards Elliot’s chest and rests his head against his neck, seemingly trying to hide. He looks at her curiously but remains cautious.
