“Yes, I believe you, but Kei isn't exactly in agreement, is she? She wants the deity to die, right?”
Keiko grabs Nadia's arm and holds it to her chest. “As long as ‘my’ heart is beating, you’ll live.”
Nadia smiles warmly. “I know Keiko, and in return I will hold on to ‘my’ body, as long as I can.”
The two embrace affectionately and kiss, both giving reassurance to the other of their new vows. Keiko pulls away first and hands the second pouch to Nadia. “Here, hurry and finish your drink.”
Nadia takes it with a nod and like the first, gulps it down quickly. “Ah, so good!” She exclaims.
Keiko watches happily, enjoying seeing Nadia in such high spirits, after seeing her so distraught last night. A thin line of blood drips from the corner of her mouth. “Oh, you've got some there.”
“Oh!” Nadia starts to reach for it to wipe it away, but before she can, Keiko leans over and licks it clean. Nadia looks at her, stunned that she’d do that. “Keiko…that was real human blood.”
