Nadia paces impatiently near the entrance of the university while Sienna watches her with disgusted eyes. She gives the impression of an anxious puppy waiting for its owner.
“You’re going to prematurely age yourself stressing so much. You realize she’s not a child, right?” Sienna asks, unable to keep watching her irritating behavior for another minute.
“Of course, I’m aware, Sienna, but I can’t help but be worried about what happened earlier. I can’t explain it well, but somehow I could feel her distress and could almost hear her calling out for me. She sounded fine over the phone, but what if someone was holding her captive, forcing her to say those things? She could be in pain as we speak? What if I lose her because I was complacent?!” Nadia speaks in a panicked voice, as she considers all the scenarios.
