“Keiko?” Keiko stirs sluggishly and opens her eyes to the comforting green eyes she’s come to love. “Sorry to wake you, but I was hoping we could start the day a bit earlier tonight.”
She sits up and rubs her eyes. “Mhm, sure, I guess.” She looks around. “Why am I in my room?”
“Oh, I carried you here. You fell asleep after finishing dinner. You must’ve been so exhausted.”
“Really?” She tries to recall but draws a blank. “That’s so embarrassing. Sorry Nadia. You even worked to make such a delicious dinner and I couldn’t see it through to a proper end.” She sighs.
“Don’t worry about it love, I understand. You’ve been working so hard, you needed to rest.”
“Yeah….” As though she had just remembered something, she reaches for her phone. “Oh crap, it’s already this late? Sorry, Nadia, actually I can’t-,” she starts with an apologetic tone. However when she sees Nadia’s sad expression she hesitates. “Nadia? Why do you look so depressed?”
