Keiko remains silent, suddenly feeling the weight of her accusations and she begins to wonder if she made a mistake. She hadn’t considered that Elnora had her own guilt to bear and that she wasn’t the only one who would feel regret over not knowing his intentions before it was too late.
The door opens again, and thinking that it’s Elnora returning, Keiko says, “I’m sorry for say-.” She stops short once she realizes that the person entering the room is not Elnora, but Nicolas.
He shuts the door softly and clears his throat awkwardly. “Sorry, I’m afraid it’s just me for now.”
Keiko sighs. “Yes, I can see that now.” She turns away from him and falls quiet, her mood down.
“Right….” He feels awkward as ever and is unsure of what to say to bridge their wide gap.
“So? Where am I?” She opens the conversation. “I remember meeting you and I remember that I had a moment I wish you hadn’t seen, but I don’t know where we are now or how I got here.”
