He walked out of the throne room more dazed and much more confused than when before he entered
[That's the punishment?... Ah but- Can I even call it a punishment though, he basically gave me a very honorable job]
"What's got you thinking so hard?" Karter said, his arms crossed as if he was waiting all this time for Lucas to come out of that room
"How am I more confused than you of all people?" He said as he sighed with disappointment in himself
"Hah! You must be joking" Karter collapsed his arm onto Lucas's shoulder as they both walked down the hallway towards the garden
"I have always dreamed of lounging around in a grand palace like this, having maids tend and pamper me" At that moment it seemed like an out of place comment coming from Karter, something that was so outlandish for him, a proud mercenary, to say
But to Lucas it was even more out of character, "What did you do to Karter?" Lucas jokingly replied, or maybe it was serious "I still remember what you said to me"
It was the time when Lucas was around 10... or was it closer to 11? He and Yael had been wandering throughout different parts of who knows where, definitely not them though. But if Lucas was to guess, probably somewhere near the borders of Xinthri and Khawlok. Even though he forgot everything, his younger self can feel himself resonate with the wind imbued land, the feeling of crisp harsh wind made him feel at peace throughout the entire time he was travelling with Yael, who was now the same height as him, though he was still much more skinny
"We're finally here Jean!" The little girl gasped with heaps of joy and relief as she quickly bent down and took a ingested a humongous handful of snow "I was so thirsty! That hits the spot!"
Lucas felt mildly disgusted as he noticed the snow had a slight... yellow tint
But he decided it was better not to say anything towards his savior
Yes, that was what the young him thought, and what he was told by Yael and forcefully had to accept it as his truth... he didn't remember, but at least the first person he met was someone who supposedly was his sister
"Hey! What are you doing here, stepping into Khawlok all willy nilly!" A voice came from the pure white snow
"W-what?" Yael froze panicked, half-melted snow falling from her jaw-dropped mouth "Jean! We must have gone too long without water! I'm hallucinating!" the befuddled young girl said as she rapidly blinked and looked down at her hands, he talking snow murdering hands...
"You stupid girl!" The pile of snow erupted, and from that pile emerged a 9 year old boy "Are you trying to sneak into Khawlok?! An invasion! A WAR!"
The black haired boy pounced onto Yael as they both rolled around, fists and kicks flying about as the young Lucas tried to separate the two of them with his measly wind magic that perhaps made them roll even more in the snow
"Why are you suddenly attacking me Mr Snow!" Yael said as she tried to overpower Karter, but to no avail. The young Khawlok was born with the typical muscular body in his country
"I have seen through your trickery! You Seux just LOVE to look down on us huh! Our country might not be as greedy and rich as yours but we are well educated in our country's enemies!" The little boy said with hate as he managed to get in another punch at Yael's shoulder
"OW! STOP PUNCHING ME YOU RUFFIAN!" Her body started radiating heat, as red flares started coming out of her hands in an attempt to get the boy off of her
"I knew it! Your a spy! A member of the royal family, evil people who lounge in their palaces as you neglected us!" Even though the boy's arms were being scarred and burned viscously by Yael's powers, it only further fueled his anger "Backstabbers! Alliance breakers!"
"People who are part of royal families are evil! Lazies who spend their day in luxurious palaces, unlike us knights!" Lucas said in a mocking, teasing, tone after recounting the trio mercenaries youth "Now your saying you want spend you days here?"
