Chapter 95 - Chp 83 : The Portrait

[Tex : Hey Siunnnn! Are you listening to me?] The black cat whined as it floated circles around the 4 year old's head, trudging through the palace's hallways without a destination in mind

[Tex : Honestly! Why are you mad at ME? I didn't do anything!-]

[Well maybe you SHOULD have done something!] He argued in his mind as he stomped past a hallway decorated with fragile, intricately designed vases, his angered footsteps almost knocking a few over

[You should have gone back to your... leader or something when you found out who the new hero was! And should have told your leader to give me someone better!]

[Tex : That's impossible! Your being unreasonable! If I was leader, I would just send your soul to purgatory or whatever when Yael was killed!]

[How could you bring up something like that!? You heartless machine!]

[Tex : Me? The opposite! I was really fond of her! But she's gone now so what does that matter!]

Siun stopped right in his tracks as soon as he heard that

[how could you disrespect Yael like that? and what do you mean it dosen't matter... we need to keep her in our memories forever so she can live on in our hearts as a noble hero!]

Siun had an unusual fixation on things related to his memories, perhaps due to the fact that on 'earth' he had to endure the boring and lifeless existence he had without them

He was just about done with his cat companion, that all he really wanted to right now was just punch a hole into the wall!

[Tex : I wouldn't do that here if I were you! There's training grounds right over there!] Tex said before Siun could unleash his angry child fist upon a portrait of the Xinthri royal family... maybe Tex wasn't that bad after all

"Huh this wasn't here yesterday?" Siun said as he inspected the painting up close, and to his own surprise... the picture had him in it!

"Huh?! I don't remember them making this! And I just arrived here yesterday... huhu the power of money can do unthinkable things!" admiring the luxurious portrait, framed with sparkling gold. The painting seemed to stretch almost to the top of the ceiling

[Tex : What's up with you... a few seconds ago you were livid, and now your drooling over a single painting, such intense mood swings!] The cat said as he perched up on Siun's head

It was a painting of the members of the main family consisting of each of them adorned in navy blue robes, beautiful gowns and their trademark silver jewelry : King Alizeh, the late Queen, Prince Gale, Yael and Siun himself

The latter two looking out of place compared to the pale complexion the others had

"Huh? Isn't one of them missing?" He asked Tex who was busy licking himself clean and doing other typical cat things

[Tex : You mean Glen?]

"Yea what happened to him, Isn't he the second prince?"

[Tex : His position is very shaky right now though... you heard about the accident right?]

"Is not being able to fly anymore that serious? I heard he is still able to use his powers perfectly fine!... just on the ground"

[Tex : Well, yes, but the Xinthris are part of the main royal family, they have a pristine reputation to uphold. The navy blues, the silver jewelry and their flight is what makes them apart of the main family] Tex pointed out as he stretched atop of Siun's head, [Glen Xinthri is ostracized, he can no longer fly, so in their eyes, he is no longer Glen Xinthri... he's just Glen now]

"I see..." Siun said with a strange look on his face, "what a shame"

His urge to punch a whole into a wall had re-emerged after hearing about the unfortunate young prince

"Let's go to the training grounds Tex!" Siun said with an annoyed, but playful tone
