I dialed my sister's number, she picked up after the second ring bursting into my ears,"Heeeeeeeeey Sis, How are you?" I rolled my eyes at her outburst of excitement and said,"I am fine. I have just arrived at LA. Mom informed me that I had to make arrangements for the wedding, so when shall we meet up?" She said," That's great, we are also in LA right now, we have fixed the deals of the arrangements, you just need to confirm the arrangements, Oliver's cousin will also help you out, he is also in LA. I will text you the place and time of our meet up." I responded," Okay." She said," Thankyou so much, Ariana. I love you, you know that right," I replied," Yeah, lily. I love you too" She chuckled and said," Then lets meet up very soon. Have a great time in LA. Byeeeee" I cut the call smiling to myself
Lilian Hill aka my elder sister who behaves like the younger one, she is 26 years old, currently the managing director of one the leading pharmaceutical company in the USA region. She ventures throughout the offices all over USA but is settled in Florida. During her business trip 3years ago to LA she met Oliver Andersen, a 25 year old man, who ran a successful business of A.N. Hotel chains all over the Europe and Asian countries. They fell in love and started dating for 3 years and decided to get married in the city where they first saw eachother.
I have no hard feelings towards my sister or my mother, but after my father's death we seem to have grown apart, we left our mother in her hometown and came to New York for higher education. Lily left for Florida once she got her degree and I started working with the CSA. We both rarely visit our mother and see eachother. Due to these reasons we lack the bonding, but I still loved them. A LOT.
I laid down on the soft queen size bed, and immediately drifted off to sleep.
A soft knocking on my door woke me up, I saw my phone and it was 8:45 a.m. and as much as I remembered we were going to leave for Mr. Knight's office around 9a.m. I immediately ran to the door and opened it, Mr. Knight stood in his gorgeous royal blue tuxedo with a light orange tie, his hair styles properly and his Swiss watch shining brightly, he looked breathtaking.
I realised I was staring at him, when he cleared his throat and said," Good Morning Miss Hill, looks like you had a good sleep."
I immediately snapped into the real world and looked at myself, I was in my pajamas and didn't even wear my slippers, my hairs were probably all messed up. My cheeks flushed with embarrassment, as he said" The breakfast is ready, we will be leaving for work afterwards." I nodded and said," I will come down in a bit" he looked at me one last time and left.
I quickly closed the door and mentally scolded myself for rolling over the entire bed while sleeping. Then I made my bed, and wore a formal white shirt, a loose black trouser and took my black blazer and left my hair in a loose ponytail.
I reached the kitchen counter, and saw Mr.Knight busy on his tab and an elderly woman in her mid forties preparing coffee, hearing my footsteps both looked at me. Mr. Knight said," Miss Hill this is Mrs. Helen Paul, she is one of the best chefs in the whole USA" then he looked at Helen and said," Helen this is Miss Ariana Hill the CSA officer." Helen looked at me and gave a warm smile, saying," Good morning, Miss Hill it's very nice to meet you." I smiled at her said," It's a pleasure to meet you too Mrs. Paul, and please call me Ariana." She smiled and said," Ok Ariana, please feel free to call me Helen and to order me the food you are craving and I will serve you the best." I smiled and said,"Thankyou"
I took my seat infront of Mr. Knight as Helen served us breakfast, the plate was beautifully decorated with pancakes, whipped cream, berries and maple syrup, along with scrambled egg and sausages. Then she served us a cup of warm coffee.
I dug into the meal, it was exquisite the best meal I had ever tasted. I turned to Helen and said," the food is too good, you are an amazing chef indeed." Helen smiled and waved her hand in dismissal," You flatter me." Mr. Knight smiled.
After breakfast we took off towards Knight and co. The car drive was mostly silent. After we reached the building, I looked at how enormous it was, the building was wrapped in dark glass and was shining brightly. We went in, all the guards greeted us, Mr. Knight took the private elevator and I followed behind. In the elevator Mr. Knight asked me," where do you want to start off first?" I thought for a while and said," The first computer which was identified to be the source of the entry of the virus." He said,"Okay" We entered the seventh floor, and saw a man with dirty blonde hair, hazel eyes with a dark brown suit impatiently waiting for us. As he saw Mr. Kinght, he hurried and said, "Sir the computer is ready." Mr. Knight calmly said,"Ok" and then turned to me and pointed at that guy and said,"This is Haris Miller, my personal assistant." and then turned towards Harris and said,"This is Miss Hill. She is from the CSA." Harris gave a light smile and said," Thankyou for coming Miss Hill. We ar eglad to have you." I smiled and said," It's no problem."
We went to the computer which was safely kept in a room. I asked them," This p.c. belongs to which department?" Harris said," This was a old computer, so we changed it last month. But it was still running as a substitute." I ran through the files and data while asking," Which source was it connected to? " "It was connected to the system which connects our main storage" said Mr. Knight, I opened their antivirus software only to find it expired. I asked them," Why is the antivirus program not renewed?" Harris hurriedly said," This was a mistake from our side. As this computer was used as a substitute, we didnont pay much attention to the expiry of the software." I didn't say anything. Carelessness leads to trouble but I can't blame them either. I took out my pendrive and insterted in the computer and then setup the program to clean the computer. After almost ten minutes the computer was clean. I stood up and asked them," Show me the way to your main storage."
I checked the main storage and made a note of the virus and it's nature. It was a outsourced virus, unstable and sluggish. I checked all the related points on which I need to work to make my software compatible with the virus and then turned to Mr. Knight saying," My work is amost done. I need to discuss a few things before using my software in your system." Mr. Knight nodded and we headed towards a floor in which he probably had his cabin.
