Shattered Fourteen watched through the eyes of his puppet as the king walked to his viewing lodge. Usually, he had two guards with him—now there were six. Each of them was a fifth rank mage by the standards the locals used—too powerful to deal with them at once, especially without showing himself.
He already let too many people know about his existence.
It didn't matter, Shattered Fourteen calmed himself. Even if the king was guarded, after the second round of the Foundation Games, he would personally congratulate the winners, including the patrons that endorsed them.
