It was harder than Cael thought to find a place outside of Riviera where no one would interrupt a duel. Poe the Second didn't like his vassals battling each other when they could be fighting his neighbors instead; not that it stopped mages from dueling. They simply had to be discreet.
But thanks to Mimi, Cael found a deserted valley between two hills, which was populated only by rabbits. The hills hid it from the surroundings, so mages could use even their most powerful spells without fear. They also provided good viewing spots.
"Why are there so many people?" Arca asked, looking at one such spot. "Oliveira, I hope you don't plan on ganging up on me. Don't think that my disappearance won't be noticed! And I'm sure that signora von Rotermond won't be silent, either."
