The animals in Ginevra's care, after hearing the bell, went into a panic yet again. Some just huddled on themselves, froze or shouted in fear, but some tried to run.
Ginevra was quick to stop them. Outwardly, she sounded and appeared completely calm, as if everything was under her full control. "Everybody, calm down! We will deal with this, whatever it is."
But the words she sent telepathically to Cael were much less self-assured than the tone of her voice. 'What IS going on, Cael?'
