I knew I was wrong to pull that in front of Grayson. I read her diary, and I know that she likes him. At this point, I like her, and I won't give up so easily. I couldn't help but think Opal would be a fantastic princess and make a good queen.
This is becoming bigger than a love triangle. It was like a love hexagon at this point. Grayson obviously likes her too, and this Richard kid looks pretty interested. She always addressed him as her best friend throughout her diary, but I know how friendships can turn out. Just look at Emmy and me. Emmy was also a part of this mess. If something does happen between Opal and me, wasn't she caught in the middle?
The bus pulls into the school parking lot. Unfamiliar feelings take over me. What if everyone noticed how different I am?
