They had traveled so deep into the forest that the sun was unable to peek through the branches making Kate squint and keep her guard up as she traipsed through the forest after Athena. The goddess had gotten a head start on her so she was walking alone through the forest and Zagryus had decided to take to the sky and try to find where Ares was hiding. Kate kept her flames alive in her hand and her blade hand ready to protect her, there hadn't been another sound other than her footsteps for some time and she decided to stop where she was and try to figure out which way the speeding Athena had gone.
She stood stalk still and listened jumping at every sound she heard.
"Why are you so skittish?" the Maiden tried to sound teasing but Kate could tell she was just as jumpy as her.
