Kate's feet hit the sand and she was off and running towards the forest, she needed to get back to them, she wasn't sure what she would find but she knew it wasn't going to be good. The bracelets she always wore, with Hekate's wolves living inside, warmed against her wrists, they wanted out. She hesitated, on the mortal realm they were only able to be out for so long and she wasn't sure she was willing to risk them.
"It's okay, Kate," the Maiden spoke up, "They will be okay here, for a little while, let them out," she urged. Kate hesitated a second longer but the bracelets heat amped up and she knew they wanted to help, and honestly, she could use all the help she could get.
"Okay, Aithan, Eleni, run free," the words had barely left her lips when there was a bloom of white and black smoke and appeared next to her mid-run and the beautiful animal's paws thumped the ground next to her. "Hello again, beauties," she said smiling to them as they picked up speed.
