"You could try being a little nicer Hekate," Kate said to the Crone, "Snarking at her isn't going to get us anywhere."
"Oh I was not snarking," the Crone proceeded to snark and Kate had to fight to keep from rolling her eyes.
"Fine if you say so, but could you try to be nicer and actually help?"
"I don't think you are going to get very far with her," the Mother spoke up, and Kate, agreeing stepped back and let the Mother take over for a moment. As she stepped into Kate's body her eyes darkened and Circe's face clouded over.
"How dare you step foot on my island," she rose to her feet, "It is bad enough being banished here but to have to fight you for everything," her eyes flashed.
Hekate shook her head and looked sadly at Circe, "I am sorry for what has happened to you, but you and I both know I am not the cause of your pain or your suffering."
